Our little girl is 5 days old now and we are having great difficulty in breast feeding. My wife's milk has comedown and is available but our little girl will not suck the nipple; not at all. We have tried a variety of positions from classical to football to laying down but she will ...

| Update (not good) | 02 Mar 2004 19:06 GMT | 144 |
Well, we went in for another u/s today and there was basically no fluid. Plus, I might be leaking some. The OB thinks it's all just a bad placenta that hasn't been able to keep up (although it has managed to nourish the baby so that it's growing fine).

| Nose bleeds in pregnancy | 02 Mar 2004 17:40 GMT | 22 |
I know it's normal but is it a sign of anything bad when you have them quite frequently? I remember having 1 with Charlotte, none with Patrick, and 1 with Lewis. I just had my 3rd one in 3 days. Is that normal?

| It's time to go | 02 Mar 2004 17:04 GMT | 23 |
After going out for a while and thinking about it the whole time, I decided to leave this newsgroup. The pain of losing my mother is still too fresh and reading so many stories about people losing their babies and what not is hard. And lately, there's been a lot of drama in here. ...

| More pain/pressure second time around? | 02 Mar 2004 16:01 GMT | 5 |
My OB told me that I may experience more pelvic pain and pressure in the second and subsequent pregnancies. I didn't have any of that in my first. Is this true? Is there a reason? Thanks.

| Tums, just like that! | 02 Mar 2004 03:53 GMT | 7 |
I don't have heartburn (yet!) I was wondering if I can take Tums for calcium. Or is there any other calcium OTC supplement that's good/better. I try to take prenatal vitamins everyday but I end up forgetting 1/2 days of the week. I noticed that my nails are very

| Holy Moly!!! | 02 Mar 2004 03:24 GMT | 11 |
Well, my friend and former employer threw me a shower last night at her cafe. She went to so much effort and there were so many cute little details and games and about 30 people who all had a great time. I had a truckload of loot, and I went home and laid it all out on the bed in

| postpartum pelvic floor / perineal recovery | 01 Mar 2004 23:36 GMT | 6 |
I have a couple of questions for those of you who have been there -- I am 4 mos postpartum, and for context, I had a second degree tear just to the anus and a cystocele (fallen bladder) that both my midwife and OB knew about but didn't think it worth mentioning until I asked about ...

| BH contrax - does position contribute? | 01 Mar 2004 23:00 GMT | 5 |
I've noticed a lot of BH contrax the last couple of days.. the difference in the last couple of days is that I've been sitting in my office chair at home more often. I'm wondering if that is contributing or would I be having them anyway? This chair is not the most comfortable
