strep infection and PANDAS16 Apr 2004 18:31 GMT3
I just came from an ADHD, OCD and Tourette's conference (I'm a social worker
for kids with mental illness), and the speaker talked a little about PANDAS,
which stands for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated
with Streptococcal Infections.  Basically, the idea ...
Cesarean Section Booklet16 Apr 2004 18:23 GMT2
Got this from another list, it's a booklet called "What Every Pregnant Woman
Needs to Know About Cesarean Section".  I'm not associated with this
website, but the booklet was a pretty interesting read.  As far as I can
tell it's based on very sound research, and is only biased in ...

Help me Prove Hubby Wrong <xpost>16 Apr 2004 10:59 GMT2
Dear Friends,
My hubby and I were having a debate this week about the power of the Internet
grapevine and parenting groups.  I told him that all of my friends who are
writers, and on my parenting and couponing groups are very supportive.  He said
Does anyone else lose interest in food?16 Apr 2004 07:03 GMT3
When I was pregnant with Bonnie I used to get yelled at for not eating
enough, which I did enjoy just a tad due to my large stature, and also got
yelled at for losing weight.  Anyway I seemed to have lost 8 lbs. in the
last month without dieting and I promise I have not been ...

Nausea, nausea, nauseaaargh!!!16 Apr 2004 04:29 GMT6
Just thought I'd get out and complain.  No, I'm not so bad: at least I don't
throw up.
But who said "morning sickness"?  This is not morning, this is 24 hours a
day.  If I wake up at night to go to the bathroom, I end up having
Induction for Polyhydramnios15 Apr 2004 22:48 GMT3
I'm 36 weeks with idiopathic polyhydramnios that is growing pretty quickly.
Anyway, I've been reading that induction is contraindicated for
polyhydramnios.  But then I've also been reading that its recommended.
Other than the risk of cord prolapse and placental abruption associated ...

Pregnancy "discomforts"15 Apr 2004 19:49 GMT4
So I wanted to ask you all, about these little "discomforts" and how
usual/unusual they are. Now I know these things are "normal," according
to online pregnancy sites, but just want to basically see if anyone else
is experiencing the same, and what they do to remedy them.
Parents & Babysitting - how to be tactful?15 Apr 2004 14:19 GMT12
I have a great set of parents and a great set of parents-in-law-to-be -
actually I seem to spend a bit more time with my MIL because she seems to
have more time for me, even though she still works full-time.
DH & I come from very different backgrounds, his family has always been ...

leg cramps - here?15 Apr 2004 05:55 GMT3
OK, I've had leg some leg cramps throughout the pregnancy but nothing major.
I'm 39 weeks along.  The last few weeks I've been getting cramps in my
upper, inner thigh - where my leg connects to my groin.  Ouch!  It's
definately a muscle cramp and it sneaks up on me and is soooo ...

I explained to my wonderful DH about my fundal heights and how I was too
small.  He answered (trying to make me feel better I think) by saying "but I
think you look really HUGE"
Gotta love him.
