34 week appointment24 Apr 2004 00:49 GMT1
I had my 34 week appointment today.  Nothing exciting to report (those are
the best kind at this stage though!).  I'd only gained 1 pound since my
appointment 2 weeks ago which puts me at 26 total since my 1st appointment.
My BP was 110/70 (pretty normal for me) and the baby's ...
two more heartburn questions23 Apr 2004 21:44 GMT8
1. Does the size of the baby have anything to do with heartburn? The
bigger the baby the more heartburn?
2. I didn't have any heartburn with my first one. Neither did my
sister. We both had it with second pregnancies. Is this just

A question about placenta previa23 Apr 2004 17:49 GMT6
Hey all-
On my 20 week ultrasound last month, my OB noted partial placenta previa.
She is very confident that over the following 8 weeks, it will naturally
subside, as my uterus grows with the pregnancy.   I've done a little
Heartburn: Triggers & Soothers23 Apr 2004 17:37 GMT21
I made some mint fried rice on Sunday which I ate for dinner on Sunday
and Monday. Since then the heartburn is irritating me. I didn't have
heartburn in my first pg. She was born with a head full of hair. May
be this baby will be bald :)
Fatigue in early pregnancy23 Apr 2004 17:23 GMT3
I know this in common, but does anyone have any ways of dealing with it?  My
biggest problem seems to be lack of sleep - I'll wake up at 4.30 or so and
not be able to get back to sleep.  And DD has a morning sleep (when I am
almost not tired!) and a late afternoon sleep (when I am ...
vomiting a bit of blood... is that dangerous?23 Apr 2004 15:34 GMT5
A few days ago I woke up feeling nauseous and had to go to the bathroom to
throw up. I noted that I vomited a bit of blood. A day before I didn't eat
almost anything because I felt so badly nauseous, and so I thought the blood
was because I was throwing up on an empty stomach (only ...
Help me find a T-Shirt..23 Apr 2004 15:06 GMT15
When we found out that Linda was pregnant, I joined a bunch of pregnancy
newsgroups and lurked a while. One of the groups came up with a
selection of links to 'alternative' baby wear with some really cool
T-shirts, one of which was 'Spit on that tissue and I'm calling social

After you had polyhydramnios, did you have extra skin?  I'm really stretched
and wondering if its possible that I'll go back to normal.

Any time now!23 Apr 2004 06:36 GMT5
Well I had my 37week appointment today and needless to say I have
definately progressed.  My BP went back down to normal which is
reassuring and at last week I was 1cm dialated and not effaced at all.
The OB says that I'm now 2-3cm dialated, 80% effaced, my cervix has done
Here we go again!23 Apr 2004 03:34 GMT4
(posted to misc.kids.family life and mkb)
So it looks like I'm just destined to bear large children that shrink with
age <g>. A lot of people here know the issues we went through with Jessica's
poor weight gain in her first and second years, so I won't go into it.
mother's day gift23 Apr 2004 02:31 GMT4
What are some of the great ideas for soon-to-be-dads to get his wife for
mothers day?  When I was preggo and visited here all the time, they had some
really fantastic ideas, which of course, I can't remember now:)
My niece is pregnant after trying for 8 years!!!  It's very special ...
Baby NOT too small :-))23 Apr 2004 00:58 GMT2
I went and had my scan today to check the size of my baby.  He is right on
track (yes he is definitely still a boy).  He is locked and loaded and
facing the right direction.  I thought he might have had his head right down
as I pee so often and I can breathe again!! The lady who did ...
recommendations for baby carriers/slings?23 Apr 2004 00:57 GMT26
Just wondering if any of the BTDT moms had recommendations for baby carriers
or slings... I've been planning to get a Baby Bjorn, but I've heard good
(sturdy, safe) and bad (spine support for baby) things about it and so I'm
not 100% sure it's the best choice...back support for me ...
