I'm Baaaaack!10 May 2004 05:18 GMT9
All,
Well, I've been off the ngs for almost 2 weeks -- I got hit in a major way
by the Sasser worm.  My computer was so infected that it wouldn't stay up
for more than 10-20 minutes without crashing.  I couldn't connect to the
What happens if I am pregnant and get an IUD fitted10 May 2004 05:14 GMT3
I had sex this weekend and not protection (silly, I know) and I have
an appt in a week's time to get an IUD fitted. I don't believe I am
pregnant since I was having my period when I had sex (low
possibilities) but still I would like to know what would happen if I
is this it??10 May 2004 04:46 GMT17
from early this morning i've been getting a pushing, tightning sensation in
my lower sections.... it happens about every 10-15 minutes... i cant really
work out if my stomach is tightning or not as its very tight anyway.
Does this sound like the start??
Happy Mother's Day10 May 2004 04:37 GMT2
It is Mother's Day today in Australia ... so this is to wish all Mums and
Mums-to-be a very happy day.
I was woken up this morning by a cuddle from a little angel who threw her
arm over my face, gave it a little pat, sighed and went back to sleep ....
Sleeping on Tummy10 May 2004 04:28 GMT12
I remember before labour, contributing to a thread about "what will you
miss about being pg/ what won't you miss", and I added "I can't wait to
sleep on my tummy again".
With these milk-filled bazoongas ?  Hardly ;)
Okay, I think I've hit that point10 May 2004 03:15 GMT1
that everybody says you'll get to that I didn't believe in a few weeks ago
when I was feeling better where "Now would be JUST FINE, thank you."
Somebody shifted yesterday - I don't think she dropped, because my profile
is pretty much the same.  But the backache I'd been dealing with ...
Name question10 May 2004 02:35 GMT152
No, I'm not giving any clues  ;)
A good friend, who lives in another country, had her baby yesterday.  We
will likely never see this friend again, ever.  She named her baby a name
that we're seriously considering.  How would you feel if, 3 months after you
womb names that stick10 May 2004 00:05 GMT12
This is our first and we're at 13 weeks.  We started talking about baby
names as soon as we found out and I kinda jokingly suggested Django (after
the guitarist, Django Reinhardt), which got vetoed summarily (along with the
name of my long-gone but beloved golden retriever, Lazlo).  ...

maternity leave/FMLA/unemployment question09 May 2004 13:33 GMT7
I have a question about how maternity leave and unemployment benefits
work in the US.  Here's the situation:
I work for a small company, of about 20 people--too small to fall
under the FMLA regulations.  I'm pregnant with my first, and I've
If you could give one bit of advice...09 May 2004 07:53 GMT22
If you could give one bit of advice to a couple having their first baby,
what would it be?  Not something obvious (like "don't smoke") -- rather,
advice or insight that resonates with you but you never or rarely hear.
Thanks!
Effacement question09 May 2004 07:49 GMT7
What exactly does 75% effaced mean? Specifically I am only 1cm dilated, baby
engaged to -1, and 75% effaced. I know internal exams don't tell you much at
all, but what does this mean? I am due May 17, which is one week from this
coming Monday. I know the real answer is "It doesn't ...
