Internal exam and bright red bleeding?08 May 2004 05:32 GMT1
I had an internal exam today (the midwife offered, but didn't push and was
ok not to do one but curiosity got the better of me, and so I requested it
and consented)....this exam did not hurt like the Group B strep and the last
attempt at an internal. I don't want to say that the ...
October due dates08 May 2004 04:05 GMT1
How's everyone feeling this month?  Is the morning sickness gone, the
tiredness starting to fade?  Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run
your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you
don't think anyone's noticing? :)  How is sleeping, getting more
anterior placenta08 May 2004 02:33 GMT7
I suspect my placenta is anterior -- is ultrasound the only way to
really know?  I felt movement with this baby a couple weeks later than
with my first, and it's much less movement, almost muffled-feeling.  The
midwife has always found the heartbeat on the side of my belly, ...
May due dates08 May 2004 02:23 GMT3
Okay, roll call time.  All you gorgeously pregnant nine-monthers, are
you ready to strangle someone yet, or are you still enjoying the last
few moments of your in-utero baby?  You're almost there!!  How's the
last month treating you all?  Everything ready for the birth, bags
Thoughts on immunization/vaccination?08 May 2004 01:21 GMT3
My husband and I have heard a lot of controversy regarding possible negative
side effects from the myriad of shots that babies are subject to here in the
U.S. We plan on talking to our pediatrician about this, just as soon as we
find one. Can anyone recommend any books or articles ...
cord blood08 May 2004 01:19 GMT4
I suspect this subject has been done to death and I've tried to educate
myself a bit on it before posting.  At this point, I'm not sold on "banking"
it but like the idea of donating it if it doesn't pose any risk to mom and
baby.  For those who considered and made a decision on ...
Help, is this a pregnancy side effect?07 May 2004 22:36 GMT10
For the last few days I have been having this symptom that I never had
before being pregnant, and I was wondering if it could be one of those
odd pregnancy side effects.  I have this burning sensation deep in my
throat as though I am about to burp up something very acidic.  I am ...
Question(s) for the moms of more than one.07 May 2004 20:44 GMT18
For those of you who don't know, I am a high school senior. Fear not, I have
been around here for almost 5 years and several people here can testify to
that! :) Anyways, I have chosen to write my research paper this year on the
differences between subsequent deliveries and the first ...
generation 2 crib mattresses07 May 2004 18:55 GMT2
We just got a crib for a discounted price. It was made in 2000 by
Generation 2. I'm having a hard time finding a mattress online for
it. We measured the dimensions and it is 38 inches X 23.5 inches.
That's including the entire length the mattress should fit including
U/S today07 May 2004 17:30 GMT1
I had an u/s today(32wks6days) to check the growth of the baby (a concern
due to my pre-eclampsia) and I am VERY happy to report all it well!  Fluid
levels are right on target, all the bits are where they should be, placenta
is working well and apparently I am carrying a large baby ...
The Smell Of Rain (Long)06 May 2004 19:04 GMT1
A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the
Doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. Still groggy
from surgery, her husband David held her hand as they braced themselves
for the latest news.
Milupa First Milk06 May 2004 18:51 GMT1
Hi, I started using milupa first milk (infant) for my boy few days ago. He
throw up some milk. But, yesterday was the worst, especially on the night
time, until the milk came out from his nose, and my mum suck it (she worried
it will disturb him). Anybody going through the same ...
what's the earliest you can tell it's going to be a boy?06 May 2004 18:20 GMT6
We had an ultrasound at 13 weeks. The doc gave us a print, which I scanned
and emailed to some friends. One of them, a nurse, says she thinks she saw a
penis.  I saw something in the area but it's so amorphous I assumed it was
nothing significant; also thought this was too early to ...
Just realized I forgot..06 May 2004 18:07 GMT2
..to schedule a consult with a pediatrician! I need to line one up before
delivery so the one I plan to see can attend...So I just now called and set
up an appointment with the ped. office that is in the same building as my
beloved primary care physician (different group of doctors, ...
Sippy Cups...06 May 2004 16:47 GMT24
Okay ladies, I need your input and expertise.  I need to buy new sippy cups,
and I want to know what kind you and your toddlers like, and why.
We've been using Avent bottles with handles and the sippy cup nipples, which
I like in theory.  It sure made the transition from bottle to ...
