this had better NOT be preterm labor (sorry, longish)20 May 2004 19:42 GMT11
If anyone has any advice or reassurance, it'd be appreciated.
I am currently 30w 6d with what'll be my first child, no problems til
now (other than boy oh boy is this ever an active baby! :-P), no risk
factors for preterm labor except for my age (I turned 39 yesterday)
27 Week Checkup!20 May 2004 19:37 GMT9
I saw my doctor this morning.
I passed my glucose test, AND my iron is good! She told me that nobody with
twins is supposed to pass both on the first try. LOL
She said my iron was just a hair on the low side, but not enough to worry

Flutters20 May 2004 18:17 GMT5
Just recently I have started feeling some flutters.  I just finished my 20th
week.  Last night as I went to bed, I started feeling my baby move.  It took
me a while to get to sleep, but I did.  I really like being able to feel
him.  When will I be able to feel full out kicks and ...
I do miss being pregnant!20 May 2004 18:10 GMT14
I really do! While pregnant I wanted to sleep on my stomach, and be able to
eat, and not have heartburn, and to get some stamina back etc.
But since she was born a week early and I really wasn't expecting it I am a
little sad (although very happy)........I MISS feeling her move ...
AF20 May 2004 13:33 GMT1
I am a mom of 5 with a question...
After the first 4 babies, once breastfeeding had ceased my periods returned
like clockwork from around 14 days after the last breastfeed. But now it's
been 6 or 7 weeks and still nothing. I find this weird as this is not normal
I think it's time to tell ds...CTTS20 May 2004 13:19 GMT7
Matthew (age 3.5) doesn't know I'm pregnant yet. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and
my stomach is starting to pop out a bit.
He's watching some infomercial about some ab machine by Body By Jake and
says to me, "Mommy, do you think you should get that?"
cocoa butter comparisons (LONG and X-posted)20 May 2004 03:05 GMT10
This is a something I meant to post about ages ago, but kept forgetting to
do once I signed on, and remembered once I signed off.
I'm 34 weeks pregnant and knew that I was going to have some itchy skin on
my abdomen and the possibility of stretch marks.  I used three different
Pain20 May 2004 01:49 GMT33
I was reading the very long thread regarding unassisted childbirth and
pain and it got me thinking....
When people say that the pain becomes unbearable, what do they mean
exactly?  At what point do you know the pain is unbearable?
Motherhood and me20 May 2004 01:46 GMT9
I just wanted to post another  post. My milk has come in and Rachel is doing
a great job! I am not even sore (yet), and Rachel has never had any problems
latching on. It's just that *I* am awkward at the breastfeeding positions
except for lying down on my side. I still haven't ...
Birth story20 May 2004 01:22 GMT10
ok, here goes...
I checked into the hospital at 7:30am May 7 to be induced via ROM.  I
got changed, hooked up to the IV and checked upon settling into our L&D
room.  My bag of waters was broken sometim between 8:30 and 9:30am.  I
Appetite and breastfeeding20 May 2004 00:28 GMT3
I had zero appetite all through pregnancy...I guess it started off with the
bad morning sickness and weight loss. I am now down 30 pounds from my
starting, just-found-out-I'm-pregnant weight, a week after birth. (I lost 15
lbs in 1st trimester and ended up just gaining about that ...
Membrane rupture question19 May 2004 21:58 GMT15
(I'm just sitting here hoping nobody's noticed that I'm obsessing over every
little thing right now. ;-)  I should take my midwife's advice and stop
reading about childbirth!)
I read another parenting/pregnancy group that, IMHO, often tosses around some

Had the 6 week prenatal today, and am scheduled for a level III u/s on
Thursday. I've never had one this early (last time I didn't even know I was
pregnant this early!)-so what can I expect?
