| diastasis recti and slings | 11 Jun 2004 02:48 GMT | 4 |
I've had a friend who's just had a baby and has diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles) and has been told by her miswife not to use a sling to carry the baby in. Does this sound right? I was never given that kind of advice.

| Ultra screen results | 11 Jun 2004 01:25 GMT | 5 |
I got the results of my nuchal transluceny scan/blood test results back today. My risk of DS went from about 1/250 (due to my age) to 1/2611. Although it's not a guarantee, it makes me breathe a little easier :-)

| Falling in love | 11 Jun 2004 00:01 GMT | 4 |
This is the strangest thing that's ever happened to me. I'm certain moms will understand and maybe even shrug and say "it's normal", but I find the experience fascinating yet unsettling. I am now at the end of my 16th week, and since Monday I have been feeling my

| very uncomfortable | 10 Jun 2004 22:46 GMT | 2 |
I'm now 19wks1day and anxiously waiting for amnio results. For the last 24hrs I've felt huge...like I'm being stretched to the limit and I can't catch my breath, even while resting. The baby feels like she is pressing very firmly against my stomach with no relief, almost like ...

| Hello | 10 Jun 2004 19:32 GMT | 3 |
I am a newbie and we are 8 weeks pregnant, first baby. The only difference is that I am not experiencing morning sickness at all. The good news is that my boobs seem to be a little fuller (and they are tiny!)

When is my husband ever going to learn that when I mention an idea to him all he has to do to make me happy is to say he will think about it. I dont care how long he actualy thinks about it as long as we can discuss it at a later time. Now tonight I am feeling dumb and hormonal ...

| Tailbone pain- is this birth related? | 10 Jun 2004 19:12 GMT | 2 |
My little girl is 7 months old. I had an easy delivery-6 pound baby, 18 mins of pushing, 2nd degree episiotomy. When she was 4 months old, I went to visit my brother and his new baby girl, an hour's flight from my home. That weekend is when I realized

| Baby #2 on it way...and Q's...[Very long] | 10 Jun 2004 12:33 GMT | 14 |
To put things in perspective, I am from India and currently a WOH mom to a 11 month old DD. Last time I was pregnant I was a silent reader of MKP. But now I have lot more questions than during my first time. I might not respond to each response personally. But I would really

I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. It's only for a while. She's only a baby once. She's just a helpless child who wants to eat and feel loved and nurtured. Breastfeeding is better than Formula.

| Ds the traditionalist (baby names) | 10 Jun 2004 03:34 GMT | 15 |
Well, apparently my ds has inherited my sense of style taste for classic, suble and non-trendy. When we found out we were having a girl, he told me it should be named Emma. I told him I'd put it on the "short list".

| Level II U/S update | 10 Jun 2004 02:55 GMT | 5 |
Background: I had my regular 18 week ultrasound two weeks ago and the only thing the tech found were bilateral choroid plexus cysts. One was quite large, and the other was quite small. I scheduled a Level II u/s and had my quad screen done.
