My 2 week check-up30 Jul 2004 18:12 GMT34
I've never had a 2 week post-partum check-up before yesterday (usually I
just go at 6 weeks).  Everything went well, incision looks good. Apparently
they kind of glued those tape strips on so they weren't coming off on their
own (like the other 3 times) so the Dr took them off.  ...
Alcohol & breastmilk30 Jul 2004 17:14 GMT20
I heard 2 different things regarding drinking while breastfeeding/pumping.
One was to abstain totally.  The other was to not have more than 2 per week
and to wait 2 hours after drinking before breastfeeding/pumping.
What have you heard?

I found something that soothes fussing (groan!)30 Jul 2004 05:50 GMT4
I forgot to mention that when I am at my most exhausted when Rachel is
fussy, after she's fed and changed, but just won't nap...I found something
that makes her go to sleep in my arms.
Rachel evidently loves the Wiggles, and she will doze off and smile if I
Hypothalamic anovulation30 Jul 2004 05:45 GMT1
After recent blood tests in looks like I may have Hypothalamic anovulation. I've looked up information on the internet so am familiar with what it is, but was wondering has anyone here had it and gone on to have a successful treatment and pregnancy ? And what should I expect ?

Birth plans, c-section, premature birth etc.30 Jul 2004 05:35 GMT6
I'm looking at writing a birth plan and getting it on file. The thing is
that this delivery WILL be a c-section, since my last delivery ended up
having to be a classical C, so I can't VBAC, and most of the examples I've
found don't deal with that. I would like to breastfeed/pump if ...
husbands have GOT to be worse than kids (warning: rant)30 Jul 2004 05:26 GMT32
This is a DH rant.  My DH has needed a new pair of shoes for over 2
years, now, and he won't let me take him to the store.  It's driving me
crazy.  Today, I finally said that WE'RE GOING, and that we're going
THIS AFTERNOON.  This was sparked by him throwing out yet another pair

To worry or to not worry, that is the question29 Jul 2004 21:36 GMT11
I don't think I can *not* worry, but am I worrying too much over nothing?
I'm 22 weeks today. Last week Unnamed Daughter was all over the place,
especially at bedtime, jumping and bumping and even gave me a good
goosing right as I was trying to get to sleep last Friday night. ...

VBAC and induction29 Jul 2004 18:24 GMT28
My midwife kind of threw me for a loop at my last appointment. I'm due
tomorrow (July 24) and have no signs of impending labor. I'm trying
for a VBAC (DD's c-section was over 3 years ago). So on Wed, I was
talking to the midwife and we were discussing what the next two

Nourishment to the mother after delivery29 Jul 2004 15:38 GMT33
I'm well into my third trimester and I'm exhausted. Once the baby is
here, I'll be too busy trying to care for the baby, hardly getting any
sleep and rest for myself etc. I'll continue to take my prenatals
because I'll be bfing the baby. I was wondering how other moms manange
