Iatrogenic Infections... study indicates 3.3 million U.S. women per year25 Jul 2004 08:45 GMT1
About a week ago a poster raised the issue of Iatrogenic Infection
(loosely: infection that originates in the physician's office).
Our 'Internet worm' (or whatever it is called) alerted us to the post
- which I read with much interest. I say 'much interest' because we
18 month check up!25 Jul 2004 04:24 GMT9
Taylor had her 18 month check up today, and she's doing great.  I've been
slightly concerned that she isn't eating much and drinking lots of milk, but
her height is off the charts and her weight is about 75-95%, so we're fine
there.  She'd only gained about a pound since we were in ...

36 week appt25 Jul 2004 03:16 GMT5
First of all - Larry the RRLT has worked wonders in 1 week!!! BP was 125/80
last week and was back to 115/65 yesterday (normal for me).  I am still
retaining a bit of fluid but its not too bad (bugger- I can't blame the
weight gain on fluid!)
External Version scheduled for tomorrow25 Jul 2004 03:04 GMT3
Unfortunately this baby has decided she does not want to turn on her own so
we go into the hospital tomorrow at 7am for an external version. I will be
exactly 38 weeks. At my last appointment we discussed the procedure and OB
stated he would not induce labor after the procedure ...

I am 13 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby.  I have been feeling the baby move
for 2 weeks already and tonight my DH could feel it kicking!!!  This is so
early is it ok?  I haven't had a US yet and have not had my dates confirmed
but as far as I am aware they are correct and morning ...
March 05 due dates, TTC'ers, and new members24 Jul 2004 23:20 GMT53
Congratulations to any early birds who know they're pregnant already! Is
it a shock, or a much-awaited blessing?  How many pregnancy tests did
you have to take before you believed it? :)  Any symptoms yet?
For our TTC members, how is the journey going?  Need to vent, cry, yell
November 04 due dates24 Jul 2004 20:30 GMT7
Halfway there!  How's everyone doing?  Making the switch into "wow, I
really look pregnant now" or have you been there for a while?  Kicks and
tumbles?  Dealing with the glucose test, a possible amnio, results from
the triple screen, ultrasounds?  Happy with your birth plans, your ...

lightening hurts?24 Jul 2004 03:20 GMT4
My baby has "dropped" and is now in my lower pelvis. At times,
especially in the middle of the night after I have been lying down a
long time on my right or left side, I have major pain in my lower
pelvis. Is this normal? Am I too small? It hurts like a bi***!
I hate this (visitors unplanned)24 Jul 2004 02:20 GMT26
Argh- pet peeve! When it takes me forever to get the baby to sleep for a nap
and then the doorbell rings, and it is someone uninvited who doesn't call
before they come etc. And I'm like "Oh, this is not a good time..it took me
FOREVER to get the baby to nap and she just fell asleep. ...
pampering in the third trimester24 Jul 2004 01:17 GMT10
Did/Do any of you get massages/pedicures/manicures etc. during the
third trimester or are these a big no-no? I read few threads about
these but even in a single thread the replies are somewhat split.
Are there other ways to release stress and pamper yourself?
mucus plug23 Jul 2004 22:02 GMT13
I passed the what the midwife thinks is my cervical protective mucus plug
today.  I am only 34 weeks pregnant.  According to the internet, labour is
imminent.  When did you pass your mucus plug and how long after did labour
start properly.
