my bladder is a punching bag14 Aug 2004 23:33 GMT4
Every time one of the midwives checks the baby's position, it always
seems that the baby's spine is actually off to the side (so a shoulder
is always sticking out, and yes my belly sort of reflects this by not
being totally symmetric).  So, head down, but kind of half turned
How unfair!14 Aug 2004 19:52 GMT5

Im 25 weeks and have enough extra central heating without them turning the

Want to do something REALLY positive for a change?
Something that could make a DIFFERENCE?
Here's the problem.
Our dear friends in Hollywood are about to release a new film.
Boy, this is going to seem like a strange concern.14 Aug 2004 19:22 GMT2

Cats and babies14 Aug 2004 17:34 GMT14
Here is an interesting article DH found about cats (we have three) and
babies.
Anecdote: I have been advocating for a screen door to the baby's room since

I'm still officially in the 2ww!14 Aug 2004 05:32 GMT7
After scaring the living daylights out of a lot of women here with my
previous post, my sincerest apologies! I should have known better, being
around all these highly pregnant ladies :) I am still in the middle of my
2ww, just got my bloodwork done this morning. Temps are on the ...
Is it a molar pregnancy???14 Aug 2004 05:27 GMT2
Today I saw my doctor – he performed an ultrasound to confirm that I
am 6 weeks 5 days along, which coincides with my last period.
However, he also said the sac contained an embryo (heart beating) and
some other "material".  He could not answer me what it was, but wanted
Aargh - yet more opinions needed on names!14 Aug 2004 04:53 GMT9
We're still going on the girls' name thing -  I thought we had it sorted.  I
was just wanting some other opinions on having a first name starting with
the same letter as the surname.  My opinion used to be that it was a big
no-no, but that rules out about all my 2nd favourite names ...
I felt movement14 Aug 2004 02:45 GMT3
I'm pretty sure that I felt the beginning fluttering last night in bed. I'm
11 weeks so it's early, but I'm reasonably sure that this is what it was.

heartbeat both times).
Vicki Bilaniuk - are you still here?14 Aug 2004 01:50 GMT7

Another good one14 Aug 2004 01:14 GMT3
On the news yesterday: liability premiums are not rising because of the
high settlements, but because of the low stock market. Insurance companies
have large investments in stocks and bonds, and have lost a lot of money
there over the last years. They have to make up for that in ...
