| my bladder is a punching bag | 14 Aug 2004 23:33 GMT | 4 |
Every time one of the midwives checks the baby's position, it always seems that the baby's spine is actually off to the side (so a shoulder is always sticking out, and yes my belly sort of reflects this by not being totally symmetric). So, head down, but kind of half turned

| Is it a molar pregnancy??? | 14 Aug 2004 05:27 GMT | 2 |
Today I saw my doctor he performed an ultrasound to confirm that I am 6 weeks 5 days along, which coincides with my last period. However, he also said the sac contained an embryo (heart beating) and some other "material". He could not answer me what it was, but wanted

| Aargh - yet more opinions needed on names! | 14 Aug 2004 04:53 GMT | 9 |
We're still going on the girls' name thing - I thought we had it sorted. I was just wanting some other opinions on having a first name starting with the same letter as the surname. My opinion used to be that it was a big no-no, but that rules out about all my 2nd favourite names ...

| I felt movement | 14 Aug 2004 02:45 GMT | 3 |
I'm pretty sure that I felt the beginning fluttering last night in bed. I'm 11 weeks so it's early, but I'm reasonably sure that this is what it was. Now it's finally getting real (even though I've had two u/s and seen the heartbeat both times).

On the news yesterday: liability premiums are not rising because of the high settlements, but because of the low stock market. Insurance companies have large investments in stocks and bonds, and have lost a lot of money there over the last years. They have to make up for that in ...
