38 weeks/sign of labor06 Aug 2004 04:13 GMT2
This is my second pregnancy.. so I should know this, but I don't.  My water
broke with my first, an obvious sign.  I'm scared that I might not notice
I'm in labor.  My son was born 5 hours after my water broke, about 3 hours
after any painful contractions, and I only pushed twice.  ...

Movement monitor question06 Aug 2004 02:49 GMT8
So I've been looking at Angelcare monitors on eBay, only to discover that
there are actually two different manufacturers making a monitor with this
name.  I like the sound of the Safety 1st monitor, because it has a visual
cue for the baby's movements; but the BebeSounds monitor is ...
Weight gain :-(06 Aug 2004 02:24 GMT10
Well, I jumped on the scales, and I knew I had put on heaps of weight.  My
blood pressure was also up a bit.  I am eating far too much, and I know it.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how a SAHM can stay out of the
kitchen?  My daughter is a grazer, so I always seem to be ...
early screen for down syndrom06 Aug 2004 02:12 GMT6
Hi this is my first message on the site.  I am 34 yrs old and pregnant
with my 4th child.  I went for a ultrasound last week and I was 11
weeks pregnant and they did a nuchal translucency and blood screeen to
give me my risk for downs syndrom.  I was not expecting to be at a
antifungal spray for diaper rash?06 Aug 2004 00:40 GMT15
When Joshua got diaper rash, I put a little of that antifungal spray for
athlete's foot on my finger and touched it on his rash.  It really worked.  But
is it safe?  Has anybody else tried this, and are there reasons not to?

quick update on my pregnancy05 Aug 2004 23:14 GMT39
Hi all;
So, it seems that my little girl is a stubborn little one :) She is
refusing to give any indication of being born any time soon. I am only
1/2 cm dilated (my due date is tomorrow, 07-31-04).

Kinda OT- BC after birth/ Copper iud05 Aug 2004 22:10 GMT17
My OB asked us about birth control after baby, at my last visit.  I cannot
take "the pill" because I have a blood clotting risk (factor V)  I tried
taking depo about 2 years ago and it was HORRIBLE.  I'm not sure if it was
the progestin that made me so sick, but if it was that ...

Ventaire bottles05 Aug 2004 06:02 GMT17
Has anybody here used the Playtex Advance/Ventaire bottles? If so, what did
you think of them? Do they really reduce/eliminate gas? I'm considering
getting a set because Brittany has a serious issue with gas and fussiness
lately but they are rather expensive so I don't want to waste ...
milk allergies, and how I've dealt with my own problem...05 Aug 2004 05:44 GMT15
All this mention about milk allergies, lately, reminds me of my own
experience.  I have had trouble with milk for more than half of my life.
I was OK as a kid, but around 11ish, I started having trouble.  First,
it was just a sore stomach after downing a glass of 2%.  ...
Reviews of carseats, strollers etc05 Aug 2004 03:49 GMT12
Does anyone know of a good site for comparison reviews of baby items wrt
safety, ease of use, etc? My mother is coming to visit next week and wants
to go shopping, so I want to know what is worth getting and what isn't.
Midwifes appointment 22 weeks05 Aug 2004 02:32 GMT4
I just had to report on a fabulous appointment this week.  I chose my
midwife based on talking to her on the phone, meeting her in person, and (I
thought) the recommendation of a few people.  Turns out the people who I
thought recommended her said she was a nice person, but they ...
