Introduction30 Aug 2004 00:44 GMT6
Hi all!  My name is Robin.  I am married and have a 15 month old.  DH
and I found out a week ago we are pregnant with twins!  We are 10
weeks along and are very excited and scared.  I'm sure I will have
lots of questions throughout the months so I just wanted to introduce
Question about mat leave and work after baby29 Aug 2004 21:03 GMT31
What would you choose: to have an extra month off with your baby at
full pay, or a part-time week at full pay for a limited time (say
three days a week for ten weeks or four days a week for 20 weeks)
before returning to work full-time?
Second baby shower?29 Aug 2004 19:54 GMT23
Are you supposed to have only one baby shower? Can you have a baby
shower for every baby you have? I thought traditionally you only had a
baby shower with your first baby. Any thoughts?

Accuracy of Sexing Scans29 Aug 2004 19:50 GMT6
Due to our recent move mid-pregnancy I've just had another scan at my now
local (but awful) maternity unit.  This unit has a policy of telling parents
the sex of the baby at the scan (which my old one didn't).  The sonographer
seemed pretty emphatic and logic tells me that at this ...
getting a bit big for the child seat 29 Aug 2004 05:41 GMT8
My daughter is getting a bit big for the child seat on the back of my
mountain bike so I was thinking of moving up to one of those kid's bikes
that bolt on to the back of an adult's bike.
1, What are they called, because I've browsed some of the online sites
My 31 week update29 Aug 2004 03:45 GMT18
I haven't been posting too much lately, but I'm doing well. Still up a the
lake and will be until after Labor Day. I was home last week for a few days,
but don't have my computer set up at the new house yet.
I haven't updated much because there hasn't been much to discuss ...
people are so weird ;-)28 Aug 2004 23:21 GMT16
*Why* is it that they keep asking me if anything has happened yet?
We've told them, a hundred times at least, that we will not keep the
birth of our child a secret, yet they still either phone and ask, e-mail
and ask, or just outright ask in person.  Sheesh!!!
SOPHIE... oh Sophie?28 Aug 2004 21:58 GMT7
Sophie, you were right about my last baby.  Do you "see" anyone new in
my future?  Which flavour if so?  Thanks heaps, yer a gem.

Ohhhh heartburn help needed!28 Aug 2004 21:20 GMT9
It started about a week ago at 2:30am and hasn't stopped.  I've had it
mildly all along but now these middle of the night flare ups wake me up
gagging and vomitting acid.  I've tried tums, rolaids, milk, crackers, not
eating before bed, propping up almost sitting and now resort to ...
A good day28 Aug 2004 21:14 GMT1
We met with a new backup midwife today--she was great, DH likes her, DD
likes her, I like her, our philosophies and styles seem very compatible and
she was *so* respectful compared to every other midwife I've talked to. Very
reassuring and such a relief. She's totally willing to ...
OB appointments are making me depressed! (27 week appt.)28 Aug 2004 20:39 GMT7
I had my 27 week appt. today and when my doctor saw how much weight I
have gained he raised his eyebrows and said "you had quite a jump in
weight this month!" He said this in a mild not mean tone of voice but it
was enough to set me off and I started crying. In front of a medical
question about what women normally experience at end of pregnancy...28 Aug 2004 17:59 GMT18
Is it common for women to become more and more depressed with each
passing day after their due date?  This is definitely happening to me,
but I blame it on the *situation*, rather than hormones.  My situation
has definitely stressed me out very much.  I'm starting to feel pretty
Sleeping on back28 Aug 2004 14:33 GMT15
I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I sleep on my back.  In some of my reading, it
says it's bad for the baby to do that.
Should I be worried, or is this just a third trimester problem?
Thanks
