Vent: shower jealousy02 Aug 2004 22:55 GMT36
Minor vent, I guess.
I'm about fifteen years older than my half sister, half brother, and
his wife. Both SIL and I are pregnant with our first children, but I'm
due a month and a half before her. I also live quite a distance away
VBAC02 Aug 2004 21:43 GMT72
Since I am very seriously considering a VBAC I have been reading up on
it and going to different websites for info. The stuff I have been
reading seems almost too optimistic. I read VBACs have a 85% success
rate and risk of rupture is less than 1%. Is this really true? I asked
Postpartum insomnia?02 Aug 2004 20:55 GMT2
I had insomnia pretty bad during my last few weeks of preg.  I would wake up
in the middle of the night and lay there totally wired not able to fall back
asleep.  It doesn't happen nearly as often now, but occasionally this still
happens to me.  Is it because my hormones are still ...

We've told a few more family members about our pregnancy.  One of them lives
in Mexico.  When we told her she asked what we were going to do with our 3
cats.  "Why?  What do you mean?  Adam's scooping the box for me so that's
taken care of."  She said that having cats will give our ...

Poll: 2nd + pg ... how long between engagement and labour onset?02 Aug 2004 01:36 GMT7
Just curious to see how long it took others to go into labour after the
baby's head engaged in second (or subsequent) pregnancies.
DD's head engaged at around 30 weeks but I was induced at 38 weeks (PIH) and
there was no signs of her coming earlier.  I'm told (and have read) that
Baby name help01 Aug 2004 21:47 GMT32
Just looking for a little feedback on some names--questions, comments,
suggestions, criticism, etc.  I would really love to know the logic
behind your criticisms especially--seeing things from a different
viewpoint is very helpful!
Hypothyroidism and pregnancy01 Aug 2004 19:14 GMT3
Hey all :-)
Are there any major concerns about pregnancy and thyroid disorders ?
I know you should get thyroid levels checked, but do they need to be ASAP
and be done on a regular basis ?
DONNA???01 Aug 2004 18:11 GMT1
I'm not sure if there is more than one Donna here but I'm referring to
the Donna who was due on July 26th...just realized that I haven't seen
any of her posts for several days now.  So Donna, if you're out and
haven't had your baby yet,  please report in!  And if you've had your

epidurals...01 Aug 2004 05:20 GMT98
So, we visited an anesthesiologist today.  It was interesting.  He was
very nice and answered all of my questions.  Unfortunately, if I choose
to go with an epidural, it will mean a transfer of care (although my
main midwife will stay with me - I just won't get the second midwife ...
