birth announcement28 Aug 2004 11:46 GMT15
Have been having a hard time keeping up with the group for a couple of
weeks...so much to do these last few weeks...I know you all know what
I mean.
SO, first...congrats to all who've had their babies...I know that each
Micaela's Birth Story (VERY LONG!)28 Aug 2004 11:15 GMT8
On Friday, August 20th we got to the hospital around 11am and booked in for
my induction. I wasn't due until 3 days after that, but with the concerns I
was having it made it a fairly easy decision to induce, I had *quite* a
short labour with my first born for a start. I was told ...
international travel with 3 month old infant?28 Aug 2004 11:02 GMT11
Okay, my DH's parents live in the UK, we live in the US. Our baby is
due in September - they would like us (as the baby will be the first
grandchild) to fly out to the UK for xmas so they can show off their
new grandchild to the rest of the family. I spoke to our (soon to be)
Spitting up update28 Aug 2004 07:17 GMT8
I figured it out! Rachel *only* spits up when I eat ice cream. I never did a
long time of eliminating all dairy-- but she almost completely stopped the
spitting up when I stopped eating ice cream, and when I forgot and ate some
yesterday her spitting up has started again, especially ...

28 weeks - dried up nipples?27 Aug 2004 13:07 GMT7
OK. This is a little silly, I'm sure there's nothing to it, but I can't find
this information anywhere, in all the books I have on my shelf - and that's
A LOT.
I don't want to call my midwife either as I find it is a very trivial
Why oh why...27 Aug 2004 12:43 GMT10
do they make maternity vitamins so damn big? I have a hard enough time
swallowing vitamins when I'm not pregnant and when I'm pregnant my gag
reflex is on overdrive. They make birth control pills tiny enough to drop
down the bathroom sink and make these HUGE vitamins for pregnant ...
bedrest positions27 Aug 2004 09:03 GMT4
I'm quickly running out of comfortable ways to be on bedrest and not be flat
on my back/any ideas?
Bunk Beds27 Aug 2004 04:05 GMT11
I was wondering what the age requirement is to have a child in the top bunk?
I am thinking about getting a bunk bed for my 2 kids in about a year and a
half (I know a little ahead of myself:-)) and my DD, who would be in the top
bunk would be about 4 years old and DS will almost 2.  ...

35 week update27 Aug 2004 02:55 GMT8
All is well -- blood pressure was 100/60, total weight gain so far is
just shy of 40 pounds, had the GBS test (something they didn't do with
my last pregnancy, so that was a new experience), and the baby's
heartrate was too variable to get a number, so there's no gender
a little late : Mo's birth story27 Aug 2004 01:08 GMT13

13 week update26 Aug 2004 17:38 GMT2
Everything's so much better this time around! I had my nuchal fold scan
yesterday and will get the results next week. Although I'm having some
scheduling difficulties with my OB, I did get a reasonable appointment for
next week (she wants to talk for about an hour and have hubby ...
Repeat C-Section vs. VBAC Statistics26 Aug 2004 16:54 GMT8
Does anyone have any info on what the percentage of women who have
c-sections go on to have repeat c-sections? I would assume the rate of
repeat c-sections is far higher than VBAC but I'm wondering how much
higher. Thanks.
