when should we take pre-nate classes25 Aug 2004 02:24 GMT4
We are on our second baby and never took the pre-natal birthing classes.  We
got the tapes (don't recommend them), only because we couldn't afford the
classes.  We want to take them with this one, well I want to take them..  I
was wondering when we should sign up for the classes.  ...

When is it still called post-natal depression? 6 weeks pp and feeling down25 Aug 2004 01:16 GMT53
I think trying to be the emotionally strong one for my family has taken its
toll on me. I've suffered from depression before, and I've noticed the
change in me - extreme tiredness, lack of appetite - not helpful when
breastfeeding, anxiety, suspicious of everyone and their intent, ...
about dogs again...  vicious ones this time.25 Aug 2004 00:27 GMT35
I actually got mildly attacked by one today (just two scratches and I
got stepped on lots and lots).  For some reason, where I live, people
keep behaving as though they live in the country, so they let their dogs
run loose.  Well, very often, we have to fight off these other dogs ...

Waking a sleeping baby24 Aug 2004 21:27 GMT21
I just finished reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child.  It states to
never wake a sleeping baby.  I could understand not doing that during the
night, but what about arousing them during the day from their naps?  I
usually wake mine up from her naps so I could feed her and keep ...
Marrying for easy pregnancy24 Aug 2004 20:28 GMT3
Don't automatically go for the tall handsome type. Remember, the baby
follows the size of the father to some extent. If you're a twiggy and
he's King Kong, it won't be easy. Don't rule out the small guys when
looking for love. Once you think you might be serious for a guy, offer
Okay, I give up -- Birthing position help, please?24 Aug 2004 19:53 GMT39
Help (again) please:
At the risk of just getting a string of replies from Todd, and
admitting that I did NOT understand Larry's post about the rhombus of
Michaelis very well (I guess that means I indeed have a problem
Baby born during transatlantic flight24 Aug 2004 19:41 GMT58
A Jordanian woman gave birth on a flight from Amsterdam to Chicago
yesterday. When it became apparent that she was going to have the
baby, they diverted the flight to St. John's, Newfoundland, which is
why the story is on CBC.
taking short haul flights during T2 pregnancy?24 Aug 2004 19:05 GMT12
Can someone tell me the risks associated with taking a short haul
flight (2-3 hours) during the second trimester (at 24 weeks)?
Any advice would be appreciated :-)

New to this Newsgroup24 Aug 2004 18:57 GMT4
Hi everyone. I'm in the UK, 16 weeks pregnant with my 6th child. My oldest
will be 15 when the baby is born and there will be a 7 year age gap between
my youngest and the new baby! I have hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
and take 150 mcg thyroxine for that. Anyone else using ...
Where can I find a prenatal fitness class in Howard County, MD?24 Aug 2004 18:47 GMT1
I live in North Laurel, Maryland. I would like to find a fitness class
specifically targeted to pregnant women, for fitness and esprit de
corps.
The closest class I can find is 14 miles away, at the Silver Spring
Madison's Birth Story24 Aug 2004 16:54 GMT7
It all started at about 6:30 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2004.  I woke up
with major "cramps."  I thought I just had a stomach ache, and tried to go
back to sleep.  By 6:35 a.m. I knew it was time.  I woke Rob up and told
him, we rushed around (forgot everything) and left the house ...
question about fathers being present at appointments...24 Aug 2004 16:32 GMT94
I'm wondering if people think (or heck even *know*, if are studies) that
it's commonplace for fathers to attend midwife or OB appointments with
the mothers.  The reason why I'm wondering is because I always thought
it was *not* commonplace, but DH always thought that it was.  Now ...
