OK. So, Tuesday, I got downtown in plenty of time for my 2:30 appt. N was asleep in her stroller as we entered the waiting room. We waited til about 3:15 before being called back - an inpatient emergency had taken precedence. Better her than me I suppose.

| Baby's problem passing motion | 05 Sep 2004 03:01 GMT | 2 |
Earlier today I found my 16 month old daughter crying while trying to pass motion. I looked at her anus and found that she was trying to pass this huge chunk of very hard faeces, about 1 inch in diameter. There was already some blood around the anus. I held her with her legs

| Not hypo yet depressed | 05 Sep 2004 00:50 GMT | 1 |
So here I am. I thought it was my thyroid that was malfunctioning, as my symptomes were quite similar. I'm depressed, tears in my eyes any instant, I'm tired as hell, I feel anxiety about every little chore I must make (phone call, banking, groceries, etc.). I really thought it was ...

| Problems Babyproofing Oven Door | 04 Sep 2004 21:18 GMT | 6 |
My 13 month old is so strong, he can almost get the oven door open. He can also break off those cheap, plastic safety first stove locks that go on the side of your stove. I've seen some with suction cups and a belt like clip that is supposed to hold the door closed, but I am not

| Hair Dye | 04 Sep 2004 12:58 GMT | 27 |
How dangerous would it really be for me to cover up the grey in my hair right now? I'm 31 weeks pregnant and what I use is the Clairol Natural Instincts (it's Level 2 and supposedly washes out in about 24 shampoos.). It's bad enough being pregnant and swollen without having yucky ...

| hives? | 04 Sep 2004 12:56 GMT | 4 |
Charlotte is just over a week old, and yesterday I noticed that I've broken out in hives. They're really bad around my abdomen and belly button--the areas that had the most stretch marks. But I also seem to have them over my arms and legs as well. I've been scratching my head

| OB Rant | 04 Sep 2004 12:50 GMT | 3 |
I like this woman, I really do, but I think I'm switching OB's anyway because yesterday's visit was the last straw. Making appointments has been difficult because they often won't see patients during the few times I have a nanny or later during the day (later meaning

| Spitting up again, another food trigger? | 04 Sep 2004 10:20 GMT | 4 |
Yikes! I have avoided ice cream since I figured out it makes her spit up, but now, she just went through another 2 days of volcanic activity-- the only thing I hate a few hours beforehand was a seafood plate from a restaurant- fried shrimp and fried oysters. I usually don't eat ...

| breast feeding | 04 Sep 2004 09:59 GMT | 5 |
My baby is 5 days old. I have been told to feed on demand. He seems to want feeding all the time and will stay on the breast for an hour and more, then an hour later will want to go on the breast again. The midwife agrees he is latching on well and I have plenty of milk so how do ...
