Show of hands - GD?16 Oct 2004 20:12 GMT13
Just wondering, who has gestational diabetes around here?  (Or regular
diabetes for that matter.)  Just curious, feel free not to say so if you
dont want to!

First Scan16 Oct 2004 16:50 GMT20
We've been for our first scan this morning. Everything is progressing normally even though they feel my dates are wrong and I am not AS
pregnant as they first thought. They ignored that fact I KNOW they exact date this child was conceived, but hey I'm just a mum what do I know !!
29 week-update after BPP16 Oct 2004 13:28 GMT2
The BPP was fine. According to the peri, It's not odd to see babies before
about 32 weeks be reactive one time and not reactive the next, even with
strong movements, and while it's worth checking, it usually doesn't indicate
a problem. (And I suspect that I'm very atypical for my ...
PP hair loss?16 Oct 2004 10:40 GMT6
I know that you experience hair loss PP but when does it end?
and when does it start?
when I had Chloe in May, I did not lose any hair but it started in Aug.
is it normal for it to take that long. it was coming out in clumps in
reflux?16 Oct 2004 04:03 GMT3
I've been wondering if poor Max has a bit of this.  He doesn't really
spit up, but he has weird burping issues.  When I burp him, he gives out
a good couple of belches, and then seems happy.  Sometimes he fights
them, though - I mean, I've actually heard him swallow them back ...
Am I supposed to get BH contractions?16 Oct 2004 01:34 GMT15
Seems like every woman I talk to has had some Braxton-Hicks during her
pregnancy and I have had none. I am 36 weeks along- should I be feeling
something that I'm not?
My friend who is 38 weeks along has had them for months and is also 2cm
silly belly button question16 Oct 2004 01:29 GMT22
Do they always pop? I am still a definite "inny", with no real change. I was
kind of hoping it would pop, as it seems like a natural thing.
Re-Usable Nappies - Where do you start16 Oct 2004 00:41 GMT8
I'm probably looking into this way too early as I'm not due until the end of
January but here goes anyway.
I've read allot about reusable terry nappies and my head is now in a spin. I
would like to give them a try but this is my first baby & no one I know has

Bundle up or not / 2 part question.15 Oct 2004 23:50 GMT5
I know when I was small, my mom always made me bundle up, (big time,
hat, scarf, heavy coat, thick socks, rain coats, endless.............)
I  know you have to use common sense like if it's pouring rain or
freeeeezzzzing cold out, but what if it's just a little chilly?
Update on AFP15 Oct 2004 23:38 GMT2
Well, as I'd mentioned, the OB said that 92% of Downs cases were found using
nuchal fold scan and AFP so I agreed to do the AFP. He called me (yes, you
heard right, he did...not a nurse) yesterday and said that it came back fine
and I shouldn't worry.

There is a small % of really nice people in this group, but unfortunatly
they get run out by all of you hormonal, psycho, idiots.
I got more medical advice (here) than I did my own Dr.

I'm bahaaack!15 Oct 2004 19:19 GMT6
From a long and very tiring trip, but it was very good to see all our
friend and family again. I spend a lot of time on conferences and working,
so I could use a holiday now. Unfortunately, this was supposed to be my
holiday for this year...
