| How early can a pregnancy be detected? | 14 Oct 2004 20:50 GMT | 7 |
My wife and I are trying for a baby, but we do not want our families/freinds to know about it until my wife is several weeks pregnant. My wife is not drinking any alchole at the moment since we dont know if she is actually pregnant or not.

| IUD Update | 14 Oct 2004 19:55 GMT | 14 |
Y'all may remember that I had an IUD put in back in the spring, and asked a bunch of questions about it here. Well, the good news is that the Mirena did what it's supposed to. I had it put in mostly to control irregular (read, 'constant') bleeding, and, after bleeding

| Re-surfacing and needing to update the calendar | 14 Oct 2004 17:59 GMT | 14 |
Hello everyone. Sorry I have been absent but I have just been extremely tired being on my own 2 weeks out of every 3 and I wasn't in a good frame of mind. A little help from Zoloft is letting me function like a human again.

Hello everyone and it's been awhile. Been a hectic week. First off, the good news! She has turned!!! I was so excited at the doctor's office I started crying. That was at my 32 week appt. The bad news: Last week Thursday (my 33rd) I was laying down and started feeling

| Can braxton-hicks contractions hurt? | 14 Oct 2004 17:15 GMT | 11 |
I've had a few contractions which I think are braxton-hicks, and they don't seem to follow the pattern of premature labor, but the resources say BH contractions are painless, and these aren't. It's not like the pains I got in induced labor-more like a menstrual cramp, which is bad ...

| Introduction and BP Question (a bit long) | 14 Oct 2004 16:56 GMT | 6 |
I've been lurking here for awhile, but have been reading with much more interest since I became pregnant this summer. My DH and I have an 11yo son and I'm 17 weeks along with #2 (at the ripe old age of 42 :-). So far, things have been going OK, with the normal symptoms of nausea,

| Hcg Level in early pregnancy! | 14 Oct 2004 15:15 GMT | 4 |
I recently found out that I’m pregnant. I had been having irregular periods so I’m not sure when I conceived. The Beta HCG level came back as 110, when it was taken on Sept. 28. 2004 Can anyone tell me if you can determine about when conception occurred by these numbers? Is it ...

| Carpal Tunnel | 14 Oct 2004 14:06 GMT | 13 |
I have cts so badly this pregnancy! I can't drive for more than a few miles without my hands falling asleep. If this keeps up I soon won't be able to drive at all. It's kind of funny because my hands and arms don't seem so very swollen, but there it is. :-(

| 29 weeks-non-reactive NST? | 14 Oct 2004 14:00 GMT | 12 |
Well, based on the exam, everything looks good-blood pressure is normal, no protein, and while I'm still retaining fluid, I'm not increasing fluid rate as fast as I was last week. However, the non-stress test came back as close to non-reactive, and even though we have a definite, ...

| Bleeding (lochia) after pregnancy/delivery? (gross) | 14 Oct 2004 06:38 GMT | 11 |
Hey all... A question for you. And sorry -- it is gross. I am now 11 days postpartum, and all my books and all my research say that after about a week after delivery, I should be discharging yellowish or pinkish lochia as opposed to substantial (not excessive,

| I'm so tired!! (Vent) | 14 Oct 2004 03:03 GMT | 9 |
I just to vent quickly. I am so tired! I'm around 8 or 9 weeks, (I'll know for sure after an ultrasound next week) and I don't remember being this tired. My whole body just feels tired and like it is moving in slow motion. I guess I shouldn't be surprised seeing as I work full ...

| Don't feel pregnant | 13 Oct 2004 23:55 GMT | 14 |
Just need a little reassurance here. Since things during my new pg are not at all the way they were with my first, I just need to know that not "feeling" pregnant at 4.5 weeks is totally normal. I was already nauseous at this point during my pg with DD, and just felt different.

| Moses basket/bassinet | 13 Oct 2004 23:12 GMT | 16 |
I would like to buy a bassinet and/or moses basket. Questions: - The moses basket seems to offer the most flexibility, but they all say not to carry the baby around in one- I thought this was the whole idea? Is it really that dangerous?
