Opinions: DH going away two weeks before EDD??13 Oct 2004 22:33 GMT63
DH just started a one-year post-doc at a company, and they want him to go
to a training seminar in Las Vegas from Nov. 1-5 (I'm due Nov. 18).  What
would you all do??
On the one hand, it sounds like it would be really helpful for him --
I appear not to be pregnant13 Oct 2004 22:21 GMT31
My dh had to go to the chemist and couldn't resist picking up a test, so
obviously I did it, negative, I wasn't that surprised as I hadn't really had
any symptoms other than lack of AF, I was fairly sure I ovulated 17 days
ago, but I could have got that wrong, so it's anybodies ...
took Max grocery shopping today...13 Oct 2004 22:19 GMT30
...and got stared at A LOT.  I had him in the sling, since I didn't see
any other way to do the kind of shopping I needed to do (needed to pick
up some large items, like cat litter, bottles of water, frozen stuff,
and wipes in bulk, so taking the stroller in would have been a bad ...
hiccups in utero13 Oct 2004 22:19 GMT18
I know it's normal for babies in utero to get the hiccups, but mine gets
them 1-2 times a day.. is this okay? It's worrying me a bit.

Please Help: alcohol & pregnancy13 Oct 2004 22:04 GMT94
My wife, not realizing she was pregnant, consumed about 4-5 drinks in
3 hours approximately 4-6 weeks into her pregnancy. I am very
concerned about the repercussions of this...she probably wasn't
getting the proper nutrition during this time either.
Interacting with baby in the tummy13 Oct 2004 20:33 GMT5
I think the subject sounds a little weird, but anyways, here goes..  For the
past few weeks we've been trying different things to interact with the baby
but so far none have been successful.  Other than tapping or rubbing parts
that stick and sometimes the baby kicks back ;-)
Update on the vitamin K thing13 Oct 2004 20:14 GMT1
My OB does think it's reasonable for me to do vitamin K supplements (and I
now have a prescription for them, since apparently pharmacies don't stock
them??), and he thinks that IF I'm supplementing and my levels are
reasonable, it should be OK to do the oral version instead of the ...
Leaking already?!13 Oct 2004 15:38 GMT23
I woke up this morning (at 19 weeks) and my DH pointed out that my
breast (just one, not the both) had leaked, right through my pyjama
top. So a few questions: I suppose this is normal? Is it normal to
leak from just one or should it happen equally from both sides? Now
Perspective(death of a child ment, cancer ment.)13 Oct 2004 14:38 GMT14
Ive been reading a website tonight www.scotthousehold.com, and their website
detailing their infant daughters struggle with cancer made me
1.realize how lucky I am that my kids are healthy
2. want to donate blood
Depo worn off, should I . . .13 Oct 2004 14:04 GMT6
My Depo shot theoretically wore off last week. I have not gotten AF. What
I am wondering is - it is technically possible that I could never get AF,
and get pregnant without realizing it. Do you think I should stop all
alcohol/ caffeine consumption? Given the fact that it could ...

On October 11, 2004 (today), I call attention to the American Academy of

Erika or whoever-Vitamin K question12 Oct 2004 21:27 GMT10
I've been trying to put together my birth plan, and one thing which keeps
coming up is administration of vitamin K to newborns, especially preemies,
when the mother has been on aspirin therapy or anticonvulsants (both of
which I am currently on) since both are vitamin K antagonists. ...
What order should I do this?12 Oct 2004 16:02 GMT9
I know I'm planning waaaay too far in advance but here's the problem. My
first labor was 7 hours from first twinge to baby, so I'm thinking that this
one is going to go rapid speed. My Mum's labor was an hour longer than mine
the first time and 1.5 hours the second time (for ...
