| Scared about bounding pulse, heart rate | 06 Oct 2004 05:10 GMT | 5 |
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a pounding heart and rapid heart rate during pregnancy. I'm 31, was relatively healthy before pregnancy (average weight, ran 3-4x/week) with treated hypothyroidism. Before pregnancy, my pulse

My wife's work in the environmental field ended up putting her in the situation where she was exposed to gasoline vapors for two weeks during the first month of her pregnancy. How will this affect the baby's health? Are there any women who have

| Afton's birth story (long) | 05 Oct 2004 18:57 GMT | 18 |
Well, I woke up with my first labor pain at about 7:40 a.m., wondering the eternal question: "Is this it?" I was four days past my due date and scheduled for an induction the next morning. I figured I was probably just having trouble digesting my husband's extra-spicy

| Scare and now bed rest | 05 Oct 2004 17:45 GMT | 25 |
I had a big scare and trip to the hospital Tuesday night. Tuesday afternoon, I started feeling some cramping. It didn't go away after lying down and drinking lots of water, so I called my OB and was told to go to the hospital. The nurses put the monitor on me and saw some

| epidural statistics | 05 Oct 2004 16:22 GMT | 22 |
does anyone have any statistics about side effects of epidurals, I'm more interested in the longer term side effects rather than whether delivery was assisted or the perineum was intact. In particular though there was no visible bruise, I felt bruised around the insertion site for ...

| I will be able to say : I dreamt it! | 05 Oct 2004 12:55 GMT | 11 |
OK. This is very very silly. A while ago, I dreamt I gave birth on Nov. 17 (my EDD is Nov. 20). I don't believe in "premonitions", but hey, if I ever give birth on the 17th, I want everyone to know that "I dreamt it"...

| Contraction? | 05 Oct 2004 07:33 GMT | 3 |
Last night I woke up suddenly, my uterus fully contracted and in unexpected pain. I'm used to the Braxton-Hicks, but this was entirely different. The stiffy feeling stayed for a few minutes (I didn't think to check), along with the pain. I really had to try to think and relax in ...

| Should I do the AFP? | 05 Oct 2004 05:38 GMT | 16 |
Here's where it stands. I'm scheduled to do the AFP next Monday. But, we already did a nuchal fold scan and passed with flying colors (my odds were 10x better than for the average for my age). If the AFP came back with bad results, I'd do an amnio and we would terminate the ...

| Attn: Jill, please come back | 05 Oct 2004 05:01 GMT | 13 |
I don't normally try to bring someone back once they have decided to leave, but in this case, I really miss your posts!!!! Don't let a couple people's opinions have so much control over you. Just try to hear their message (or block them) and keep on going.
