First anti-natel appointment22 Oct 2004 19:58 GMT6
Could someone be kind enough to tell me what happens at your first
anti-natel appointment? I am new to all this 8 weeks pregnant and this is my

Thanks In advance
Preparing a sibling for new baby - any thoughts?22 Oct 2004 17:39 GMT19
DD should be 23 months when the baby is born, if all goes according to plan.
I have tried to involve her in the pregnancy process as much as possible,
but she doesn't seem interested (which is totally understandable, I think
!). But I'm just starting to get concerned that she has no ...
So there ya go, Todd22 Oct 2004 16:55 GMT1
Last week, at our antenatal class, the topic of the evening was normal
labour.  After a talk from the midwife, we watched a video showing two
normal deliveries, and the midwife then asked whether we had any
questions.

Slings22 Oct 2004 13:32 GMT12
I'm planning to buy a Wilkinet - they look irresistibly cute - but they
also look like rather a faff to keep tying and untying, plus possibly
not the most conducive to breastfeeding.  So I'd like to get a simpler
type of sling as well.
Parent's Choice formula22 Oct 2004 02:45 GMT7
Any opinions on this brand?  Do you think it's a good quality formula?  I've
noticed it is much cheaper than Enfamil.
Obstetric roof on fire! (The problem and Dr. Sarah...)21 Oct 2004 23:38 GMT1
OB ROOF ON FIRE!  Mass child abuse by MDs and MBs.  I'll cc Oregon Atty
Gen'l Hardy Meyers and Disneyland DA Tony Rackauckas and others in law
enforcement.
(As usual I am in favor of pardons in advance for MD and MBs - see the end
Ana rolled for the first time today! 16 weeks tomorrow..21 Oct 2004 23:19 GMT11
We're so proud of her :-) She's had the muscle tone to do it for a while,
but as she's been swaddled for sleeping and doesn't have a lot of tummy time
(she isn't very keen on it) the technique has evaded her up till now. I
admit we're equally clueless as to the best place for her ...
30 weeks-Wahoo!!21 Oct 2004 22:34 GMT9
Basically, the subject line says it all-protein is negative, the blood
pressure is stable (still on the high side of normal, but not crossing that
line (140/85 in the office, a little lower at home), the NST was normally
reactive, contractions are not anything to worry about-finally ...
What to ask midwife? (long)21 Oct 2004 22:31 GMT6
I have had a chaotic week (my husband was injured at work and we've had a
lot of doctors office visits etc. to deal with in the last few days) and
have had no time to put together a list of things to ask when I interview
the birth center I hope to deliver this baby at.  Did I ...
Ovulation21 Oct 2004 22:26 GMT12
Hello! My husband and I have been trying to conceive since May of
2004. No luck yet! Anyway, my period usually comes between the 5-10th
of every month. Last month was the 11th. This month I started to spot
on the 5th. I have had light bleeding/spotting for 7 days now. My
13 weeks bleeding update21 Oct 2004 21:48 GMT33
thank you to everyone who tried to reassure me and helped me through a very
difficult day in limbo, sadly we were told this morning that our baby has
died and that I am going to miscarry. We are obviously devastated. thank
you again for your thoughts and prayers
Am I being totally nutty?21 Oct 2004 21:43 GMT5
I popped into the doctors yesterday to tell him I was pregnant and do the
form filling in, suddenly I find I am on a rollercoaster, I'm expected to
see the midwife, book in for a scan, then blood work and another scan and it
just drove me up the wall, you will have a scan, not ...
Raspberry Leaf Tea - When to start taking.21 Oct 2004 19:58 GMT2
I was wondering exactly when you should start taking raspberry leaf tea ?
I have seen different bits of information which recommend starting it
anywhere from 30-36 weeks. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Also are the raspberry leaf tablets any better/worse than the tea and ...
sleeping tablets when pregnant21 Oct 2004 19:53 GMT8
are there any that you can take, either herbal, over the counter or
prescription, currently my sleep is iffy, but good enough, it could easily
tumble into disasterous, so I'm doing my research in advance
