Swelling...  :(21 Oct 2004 17:31 GMT9
I've managed to avoid most of the trials of pregnancy so far, but just this
week my hands and feet have started to swell up.  My hands really hurt,
esp. at night, and I can't see the bones on my feet anymore.  :P  My
midwife told me 2 weeks ago that a little swelling is fine ...

AGONIZING heartburn ('fire up throat')21 Oct 2004 07:16 GMT6
Straight baking soda in water (tastes like sea water but always works
INSTANTLY for me...)
Is it contraindicated in pregnancy?
Appears to work similar to Gaviscon, which apparently is used in pregnancy -
Contractions...21 Oct 2004 06:38 GMT1
Hello all...
For the past few days I have been having what I believe are contractions:
cramping similar to a menstrual cramp, but going way higher (well, my uterus
is stretching much higher, isn't it?). They last for less than 10 seconds
Early contractions.  Oops.21 Oct 2004 06:17 GMT3
On Friday I had my 23 week appt. with my midwife and basically got in
"trouble" for not contacting her about the cramping and discomfort I have
been having at work and post work.  I truly thought it was because of the
work I do AND being #4 pregnancy.  Well, I was wrong.  Dang it.  ...
First ultrasound tomorrow21 Oct 2004 05:50 GMT3
I felt like posting since tomorrow is the first ultrasound for this baby.
I'm kind of excited, because it never feels real for me until I hear or
seeing something :)  They are doing the ultrasound because my dates are all
crazy.  Basically, my last period started on Aug. 1.  ...
craving for salt21 Oct 2004 04:48 GMT22
Does a severe craving for salt mean that I
am missing some nutrients?  In the way
that some people who have to chew on ice may
be deficient in iron...  I've been very,
Homeopathy & pregnancy - ??21 Oct 2004 04:25 GMT4
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has opinions on homeopathy during pregnancy.  We
haven't been to a homeopath yet but were contemplating it for my wife's rash
(PUPPs?) because it seems to be getting worse and the steriods and benadryl
Doctor requested another HCG Test20 Oct 2004 21:44 GMT2
I am currently about 6-7 weeks along and I've already had 3 hcg tests.
The first was on 21-22 DPO and was at 59 and the 2nd was a week later
(28-29 DPO) and was at 1232.  After the results of the 2nd test, the
nurse told me everything looked good but the doctor wanted me to take
small update-30 week BPP20 Oct 2004 21:04 GMT1
After the ultrasound, everything looks good-except that Cuddles was not
cooperative-we never good a good view of her face or even a nice
profile-hopefully she'll do something cute next time.
She also has apparently gotten on Mommy's schedule-mommy generally takes
Overheating!20 Oct 2004 19:55 GMT8
Gosh, the weather has turned very summery here (still only spring really),
but I find I'm really noticing the heat this time.  People are giving me
strange looks as I wander around in t-shirt and shorts, and they're still in
polar fleece tops and jeans!  I don't think I really ...
1 year old20 Oct 2004 17:08 GMT6
I can't believe she's a year old today. We went to the hospital to get her
latest prosthesis made up today.
Not many children can say that they got a new arm for their birthday.
She also got "finding Nemo" on DVD because I'm told Nemo has a "little fin"
