| update on Max | 07 Nov 2004 03:00 GMT | 7 |
Well, the poor little guy has a bladder infection! He's on his first antibiotic. :-( Poor kid. So now, along with an ultra sound for his hip, he's going to get an ultra sound to see if anything is up with his bladder and attachments, since it's rather odd for an infant this ...

| IUD Update 2(Sort of -- pretty OT) | 07 Nov 2004 01:45 GMT | 2 |
I posted a few weeks back about the problems I was having with my Mirena IUD, that I seemed to be allergic to it. After talking to an allergist and my gyn we weighed my options and I decided to have it out. To deal with the constant/irregular bleeding that was sure to follow (the ...

| Heavier periods after giving birth? (gross) | 06 Nov 2004 20:00 GMT | 4 |
Hey, I have a question: Is it your experience that after giving birth, your periods are heavier than they were before? I ask because I am having my first period following the birth of my daughter. It was "forced" by birth control pills (which I stopped

| 37 week | 06 Nov 2004 17:54 GMT | 10 |
Good news! The contractions I *thought* I'd been having over the past week are indeed contractions, not just Braxton-Hicks. They have been acting up on my cervix, which has thinned and softened - no dilatation as of yesterday, though.

| Larger than average babies | 06 Nov 2004 16:40 GMT | 22 |
Anyone know the reason babies grow to the size they do in utero? If the baby's size at birth has nothing to do with the size they will be as an adult and nothing to do (apparently) with the size of the parents, or their size at birth, then what determines size? Whew, that's quite a

| Antibiotics in baby's eyes? | 06 Nov 2004 16:27 GMT | 27 |
I have to make that decision, and frankly, I am not certain what to do. While our healthcare minister recommends lowering down the administration of antibiotics, it is still law to rub every newborn's eyes with an antibiotic cream. I am given the option to refuse, if I sign an ...

| My daily visit to Kroger | 06 Nov 2004 15:24 GMT | 19 |
My BP was all in the 150s on top this time, highest 159, lowest 150. The bottom number was 90 one time, the 80s the other three. Of course, I was actively shopping (l just spent $400--ACK!!) trying to stock up on things the helpless people in my house can cook for themselves. Yes ...

| Pain on lower left side? | 06 Nov 2004 08:13 GMT | 4 |
I'm really starting to feel pain on the lower left side of my abdomen-I KNOW that HELLP pain is upper right quadrant, or more generalized, so I'm not too worried about this being HELLP again, but I don't know what it is, and it bothers me. It's to the point that it really hurts if ...

| Quickie update (m/c ment) | 06 Nov 2004 02:40 GMT | 31 |
I had my fourth m/c last thursday, to the day exactly a year after my first. It was painful, and I'm still very tired, but I'm also very glad my body coped by itself and I didn't need a D&C. It feels good it is over now and I can move on with my life. We'll probably jump onto the ...

| Baby Bjorn question | 05 Nov 2004 23:48 GMT | 8 |
At what age is is safe to use the Baby Bjorn front carrier? DD is 2 weeks and 9 pounds 7 ounces as of yesterday. I used the Bjorn with DS2, but not until later on. DD is wanting to be held a lot, which I don't mind. But, it would come in handy if I could use the Bjorn. So, what ...

| Addie's Adoption Story | 05 Nov 2004 22:26 GMT | 46 |
Part 1 October 27, 2004 Okay, seeing as Addie turns one month old today (4 weeks exactly), I figured I'd better get her birth/adoption story down before my self-inflicted

| Jessica Grace is here...and you won't belive *where* she came! | 05 Nov 2004 20:02 GMT | 55 |
...in the front seat of my freind's Jeep Cherokee in front of the hospital! Yes, that's right. She was 8lbs. 3oz and born sometime around 7:00 on Friday 10/29. Let's just say that I'm living proof that a first babies experience has

| 39 weeks today! | 05 Nov 2004 18:18 GMT | 7 |
One more week...One more week...One more week...ok so realistically it could be sooner because of my age (thanks to all the doctors who've reminded me of this over and over) and it could be later because it's been 21yrs since I've given birth, but here's hoping age wins! I could ...

| Pumping Support group? | 05 Nov 2004 14:36 GMT | 7 |
Does anyone here know of a place to ask about pumping.. increasing supply and general suport? I unsubed from MKB because while I am going to continue to try to get Xavier latched on I KNOW I can pump. I wanted to see if there would be a group not as devoted to get Xavier latched ...
