Xavier Is Here!!!!03 Nov 2004 21:39 GMT32
Ok as you all know I was impatiently waiting for my midwife and the OB to
pick an induction day as of Monday 25 because tuesday was no good but we
were looking at wednsday and had decided that Jeff would take tuesday night
off work and the next morning Wed 27 we would induce but ...
I must be the worst mother on MKP03 Nov 2004 21:36 GMT443
Everyone here is so perfect! It seems you all wear your babies constantly,
co-sleep with them when you aren't wearing them, rock them for hours on end
while they scream, and manage all this even with a dozen other children
besides and a successful career. Those of you who don't have ...
Feedings03 Nov 2004 21:31 GMT8
Just a quick question. Caden is 6 months old and really isnt interested in
food... he has about 3-4 spoons of food every 3 days, the rest of the time
he just nurses.
I don't see any need to push him to eat, but alot of people are asking me
Bank cord blood or add to college fund?03 Nov 2004 21:30 GMT5
Now that I know donating our cord blood is not an option, I'm reconsidering
banking it privately.  I rejected the idea at first because it didn't seem
the cost was worth it in view of the small likelihood we'll need it.
(Neither of us have a history of blood disease, cancer, etc ...
Ulrtasound results03 Nov 2004 21:26 GMT8
I went in for my estimation of fetal size u/s today and at 37 weeks the
baby is (allegedly) 8lb 7oz. Hmmmm......that means she could weigh
almost 10lb by the time she is born! Boy is my OB going to have a heyday
with this when I see him tomorrow. : ( He's going to go on a vaginal
BP update etc.03 Nov 2004 19:13 GMT7
I dropped by Kroger again yesterday evening and my readings ranged from
155/89 (first one) to 142/82 (last one).  Bottom numbers were all in
the 80s (4 readings).
I am still very swollen, very tired.
descent without dilation?03 Nov 2004 19:00 GMT5
Little one has descended some (not nearly fully engaged), but I am not
dilated at all at 38 weeks. Is this normal? Doc doesn't seem worried,
although he said he would expect to see more progress for most women at this
point.
Ultasound to determine fetal weight03 Nov 2004 18:32 GMT16
I am going in for a u/s Monday for a fetal weight estimate. <giggles>
Yes, I know it's kind of silly but I like ultrasounds. I really wonder
what it will say, too. Maybe it will say I am having a 6.5 lb baby and
my reluctant doctor will be suddenly excited about a VBAC. Ha! I still
AM I PREGNANT??03 Nov 2004 11:08 GMT2
This morning I woke up and did a Preg test, at the beginning there were
definately 2 red lines but as the test went on the second red line has faded
and you can barely see it.  Has anyone had this result before? on the pack
it says your pregnant even if the second line is faint.  I ...
Severe Swelling03 Nov 2004 10:32 GMT19
This morning my feet were so swollen (pitting edema) that I could barely
squeeze them into the size 11 shoes I have been wearing while pregnant (my real
shoes are 9.5!).  They went down some while napping but not much.  My eyes are
also very puffy today.
Andrea-your name.03 Nov 2004 07:10 GMT5
Andrea-
This has been driving me crazy for days.  What did your computer name used
to be?  I remember it was a literary character.......think back about 4yrs.

Mixing formula in a blender03 Nov 2004 02:26 GMT8
Has anyone done this?  Do you think it's ok to do?  The formula I use comes
out lumpy after I hand shake it.  It takes a month of Sundays for me to mash
the lumps out and thought that putting it in a blender would be alot
quicker.
Leslie?03 Nov 2004 01:52 GMT9
haven't seen any posts from her yet today, what's her time zone? I'm sure I
usually see some when it's evening here, maybe she's in bed resting, or
maybe things are happening, good luck either way!
Naming my he/she...03 Nov 2004 00:58 GMT21
If he/she's a boy, I'll name him after my grandfather, Andrew William, so
that's an easy one.  If he/she's a girl, that's where it gets tricky.  I
want to name her after 2 people, my auntie, Susan, and my Al-Anon sponsor,
Sabine (pronounced sah-been).
32 weeks-staying home for now03 Nov 2004 00:03 GMT1
Except that my BP is now consistently high (130-145/ 85-100) (and has been
since about Sat), things are looking good. At this point, the BP by itself
is not a reason to go back to the hospital-and is actually less of a concern
because it's not swinging (in fact, there really was ...
