Welcome Rhiannon Erin !!02 Nov 2004 23:03 GMT14
Born Monday Oct 25 at 10:02 am weighing 7lb, 6.5 oz.  Apgar scores of 9 and
9, and a full head of dark hair and her daddy's habit of lowering her
eyebrows at you.  :-))
I was scheduled for a cesarean Monday morning at 9:00 so we got up early and
Question about Conceiving a Healthy Child02 Nov 2004 19:57 GMT16
Is there anything that you can do to lessen your chances of having a non
'healthy' child prior to pregnancy?

Correct time for induction?02 Nov 2004 11:32 GMT18
Hello again,
We are now at 38 weeks and waiting for baby to arrive any time!
However, I know of a tragic case where baby was alive and kicking in the
evening, but had died before the induction next morning!  The placenta had
cramping02 Nov 2004 08:19 GMT2
Like CY I have been cramping a lot this pregnancy, I remember it happening
last time, but definitely not as much. This weekend it got much worse,
eventually I decided I had better get checked by the weekend doctor, he was
able to confirm that it was very unlikely to be ectopic ...
my silly baby...02 Nov 2004 02:28 GMT4
At first, he *hated* latex soothers, and now, he seems to love them and
hate the silicone ones!  What a kooky kid!  ;-)  We only have 2 latex
ones because he seemed to hate them so much (we have 4 or 5 of the other
ones).  If I try to stick a silicone one in his mouth, he gags ...
Swelling etc. update01 Nov 2004 21:31 GMT11
I'm not going to take the time right now to answer all the messages (although I
did read and assimilate them--thanks!) because I don't have a phone line in my
bedroom and I want to get back there ASAP.
So this is what I am doing.  I have stayed in bed (except for a hot bath and
So excited!01 Nov 2004 21:29 GMT9
I'm pregnant!!  I know I posted here before to announce but today I had an
ultrasound as I have been cramping (thanks for the advice, Ilse) and I got
to see the little peanut and they got a heartbeat (140) and now I feel like
I can finally relax and be excited about this baby!!
Changing name... not sure01 Nov 2004 21:27 GMT14
Hello again (wow, I am an active poster these days - must be hormonal ;-)  )
Since the very beginning DH and I had agreed on Catherine to name our coming
baby girl. However, in the past week, one name keeps popping up, and doesn't
seem to let me rest: Frédérique.  I know in ...
EW on CD 8?01 Nov 2004 18:55 GMT5
TTC for past nine months! Have read TCOYF from cover to cover. Charting
temps and fluid and I've started to notice a pattern of EW as early as CD8
but no temp rise until maybe CD14 or later, and fluid only creamy around
this time. Any ideas?!
Totally OT:  Car Opinion01 Nov 2004 17:49 GMT32
Just casting about for opinions here . . .
I believe I mentioned here a few weeks ago that our  1998 Dodge Durango (our
only car) bit the dust.  The engine burned up due to a lack of oil (there was
oil in the car--it sludges up and doesn't get in the engine; this is a problem

29 week ultrasound01 Nov 2004 14:27 GMT4
I had another ultrasound Thursday (at 29 weeks 3 days) and everything
is progressing as it should.
My cervix is about five and a half centimeters and still tightly
closed.  The twins were head down this time.  One weighs three pounds
Sleeping positions question01 Nov 2004 11:02 GMT3
I know this has been asked before, but at what age can you stop worrying
about your baby's head shape and sleep them on their backs?
DD is four months old and since birth I've slept her on her side in a
'wedge' consisting of a long triangle (which goes behind her back) and a
