Week 40 + 3 appointment - Disappointment25 Nov 2004 13:43 GMT24
Hi all...
Well... My backup midwife was very nice this time, less cold than usual, but
then she had some disturbing points to discuss with me, which made my blood
pressure rise quite a bit - but nothing worrying.
TENS Machine - Recommendations ?25 Nov 2004 12:34 GMT3
Our first baby is due at the end of January'05 and I'm thinking ahead trying
to arrange everything necessary while I still have some of my sanity left
:o)
Does anyone have any recommendations on which maternity TENS machines are

Cute baby habits?25 Nov 2004 00:40 GMT4
Do or did any of your babies have cute habits that you didn't expect?  Our
son, Timothy, surprised us with his very first sneeze... right after he went
"Ah... choo!" he made a noise kind of like a cross between "..auuuu!" and
"owww!"  Kind of high-toned, almost like he thought ...
Sigh.24 Nov 2004 17:34 GMT19
Something just didn't sit right with me about the way Rachel's former
pediatrician's office has done during this situation- not specifically that
thwy refuse to allowe her back in for her flu shot (they also refuse to see
her at all, NOT that I have tried to get her to go back- I ...
Pregnant women are FAT ! ! ! ! !24 Nov 2004 13:42 GMT2
They have FAT bellies and even FATTER butts, that makes them even more
digusting than non-pregnant women are.
Some are so fat, that their movement causes EARTHQUAKES !!!

35 weeks24 Nov 2004 10:32 GMT3
We had a double header today-because of the holiday, my usual Thursday
appointment ended up being on Tuesday, which meant a lot of redundancy. And
actually, that was probably a good thing, because "Cuddles" decided NOT to
cooperate with the Non-stress test-she kept moving and as a ...
Yoga... Getting harder and harder!24 Nov 2004 07:46 GMT4
On this not-so-beautiful-out day of my pregnancy, now at week 40 + 3 days, I
have just completed a yoga session at home...  Yikes!  The last one I did
was a week ago, and oh my have things changed!
I cannot stretch half as far as I used to, every movement must be done very
EDD + 224 Nov 2004 07:23 GMT5
All right, this baby is late.  Well, that's OK, I can deal with it.  At
worst, I have 13 days to go...
Today's program is a walk, swimming, a movie, and another walk.
I have been having those weird ... I don't dare call them contractions
The almost-complete birth experience...  :)  -- LONG!24 Nov 2004 02:52 GMT15
Hi, everyone -- just a quick birth story while my mom's holding the baby...
:)
I guess Dirk posted the news that we had Micah on Sunday.  As you know,
Saturday early morning I started contractions -- they got stronger and
reusable nappies24 Nov 2004 02:02 GMT2
People are always keen to tell you how much better re-usable nappies are for
the enviroment, but they fail to tell you how disgusting they can be! I
worked in a nursery, where a 14 month old boy wore these things, and we
dreaded changing him. If the child has a bowel movement, and ...
migraines, doctors, ramble23 Nov 2004 19:32 GMT11
Migraines, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I've always gotten migraines. Since I was in third grade. The doctor didn't
want to believe that's what it was at first. People don't usually get them
as children or something. But I had all the symptoms. Sensitivity to light,
Anyone used Preseed (lubricant)?23 Nov 2004 18:44 GMT1

Your Hospital Bag23 Nov 2004 17:35 GMT5
Not that long now to go until our first baby is due so as you can all
imagine, I'm a nervous wreck!!  I think I'm fretting more than my wife!!
We thought we should sort out her bag to go into hospital but I've read so
many different lists it all gets a bit too much to think about.
