Urine retention after childbirth30 Dec 2004 12:37 GMT1
I delivered my daughter via c-section 15 days back. I first tried for
vaginal delivery and had taken epidural too for labor.
Since the delivery I am not being able to urinate. I do feel fullness
in bladder and feel the urge to urinate but cannot pass out urine. I
Is it possible that my DH felt movement?30 Dec 2004 11:36 GMT5
I have been feeling flutters since 12 weeks (I did with DD too) and this
evening I had my hand on my tummy and felt a strong kick on the OUTSIDE.  I
thought I was imagining so I had DH put his hand there and he said he felt
it!!  I will be 16 weeks on Thursday but this seems ...

Ow update30 Dec 2004 11:24 GMT9
After hobbling to the bedroom and tormenting my poor dh into helping me get
into bed (I literally could not bend or twist or move without help--walking
was a shuffle) I found a wonky position that was not exacerbating the pain
and codeine knocked me out for 5 hours. While dh was ...
inverted nipple question30 Dec 2004 09:08 GMT5
I have an inverted nipple on my left. After struggling a bit to get my Lilly
to latch on at all to the left, she started nursing on it like a pro for the
last week and a half (she's 5 weeks). It was always more painful than the
right, but now it has gotten REALLY painful; ...
Vitamin D?30 Dec 2004 05:53 GMT7
According to her recent blood work, Alli doesn't have high enough vitamin D
stores, so supplements are recommended since she's just getting breast milk
now. However, the tri-vi-sol makes her VERY fussy (and honestly, her reflux
gets so bad after getting it that I doubt she's ...

birthing pools in australia30 Dec 2004 02:02 GMT2
silly question for australians. and once again i am thinking too far ahead!
do the water restrictions affect a birthing pool? my friend suggested they
might. i thought as they are indoor, they wouldn't, but i googled & found
that a hospital in northern nsw can't use theirs because ...
Vitamin Suppliments30 Dec 2004 01:34 GMT8
Hello mums, I'm apparently going to become a father, probably in July. My
wife has not yet managed to book her first appointment with her GP as the
Receptionists are doing their usual Nazi job of protecting "their" Doctors
from patients!
30 wk appointment29 Dec 2004 21:27 GMT1
I had my medically unecessary u/s yesterday and my Mum was thrilled. Me too.
We saw ten little toes, a lovely spine, a perfect heart with four chambers
and many other perfect bits. Unfortunately, we did not see genitals so we're
in the dark on sex here. The doctor said that it's ...
In-Law-Family Matters - Rant29 Dec 2004 21:01 GMT13
Well, my turn to get into In-Laws conflicts...
I don't know how to phrase my concerns/frustration.
My father-in-law is the type of person who has a theory for everything. He
is also the type to, as his ex puts it, "pontificate". The way he talks,

REQ: Fatherhood reading material29 Dec 2004 17:29 GMT34
There seems to be a million books for potential mother's, offering advice,
reassurance and guidance for coping with pregnancy and child
nurturing/raising; there are several thousand it seems for potential
parents, i.e. jointly raising and coping (which I'm reading avidly), but ...

Little boy circumcision - argument with dh29 Dec 2004 16:55 GMT96
I'm pregnant with my first, and I'm too early yet to know the gender.
However, if it is a little boy I am adamant that I don't want him
circumcised; I don't want my newborn to have to go through that level
