Maternity clothes in US31 Jan 2005 22:11 GMT41
Girls, this is serious ;-) I looked all over the stores and online to find
some nice maternity clothes. I have a couple of pants, but I would like to
have some nice shirts and something fancy to dress up. So far *everything*
I have found is either soft pink or frilly or both. I ran ...
Scared31 Jan 2005 20:18 GMT12
Lately I got really paranoid when thinking about giving birth. It really
puts me off. I have never been able to watch women giving birth on TV and
always thought of it as the worst horror pain experience that anyone can go
through.
Low CBC count?31 Jan 2005 19:09 GMT1
After some recent blood work I was told that I had a bit of a low CBC
count and they wanted to retest in a months time.  They didn't seem
very concerned about it and I didn't get a great explanation of what
that means.  Why would they have tested for that in the first place,
Allergic Reaction?31 Jan 2005 11:54 GMT10
Has anyone else had any experience with an allergic reaction to formula?
Alexandra had about 3 oz. of Enfamil Lipil and after the feeding just
'looked' sick, like she didn't feel well. About 20 minutes later her
little ears were bright red and under her chin was red and her face had
question regarding weight31 Jan 2005 06:35 GMT1
Hello, I am mostly a lurker but I have posted here before.
I have a question regarding the weight of my 5 month old son. He just
turned 5 months old on the 22nd and he weighs about 20lbs. He was
7lbs.,13oz. when he was born so he has nearly tripled his weight since
Follow up to Gender intuition. (LONG)31 Jan 2005 05:11 GMT2
Thanks to all who responded to the Gender intuition poll. I was hoping to
get to 100 children, but didn't quite manage that even though I tried a
couple of people round here.
Most people round here said they'd no idea, which wasn't totally helpful :-)
Rant - is this weird or am I hormonal?31 Jan 2005 03:40 GMT28
I need a little advice - this smacks of being an unreasonable request
and I'm feeling insulted, but I've been emotional lately so I don't
know if it's just the hormones.
I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and both my sisters have been telling me for six
Pregnancy won't survive the next 10 years31 Jan 2005 03:16 GMT5
I'm a time traveller from the future and I must tell you that
pregnancy won't survive the year 2014. It will be outlawed, banned
worldwide, and replaced by cloning and members of the underground who
secretly get pregnancy will be arrested and shot.
Another baby item/rec. wanted31 Jan 2005 03:13 GMT14
DH found a crib today that he liked so we added one more thing to the baby
goods.  We had a power outage today, so to keep from going nuts inside in
the dark we ventured out to see if anything was open and had lights on.  The
neighborhood resale shop was one of very few stores ...
Episiotomy Question31 Jan 2005 01:01 GMT18
Yesterday I had my 36 week appointment.  My doctor commented that my
perineal muscle is especially strong/tough and recommended that we try
perineal massage over the next month, which is something she has never
recommended to a patient before   Apparently she will usually tell
hamsters OK?30 Jan 2005 23:27 GMT4
It just occured to me that touching/cleaning a hamster may carry the same
risks as kitty littter boxes.  Anyone know??  We just bought DD a hamster a
couple of days ago and I'd like to be sure!
TIA!
Normal amount of bleeding after birth?30 Jan 2005 18:14 GMT21
Can anyone tell me what is a normal or typical amount of bleeding after
birth?  I'm not talking about how long lochia lasts; I'm talking about the
immediate blood loss after the birth.  My chiropractor (who is a
homebirthing client of my midwives) happened to ask me yesterday if ...

Bertini Stoller30 Jan 2005 07:49 GMT2
Has anyone had or know anyone who has a Bertini Stroller?  If so, did you
like it and did it steer well?
Thanks-
Kelly
Moses Baskets-yes or no30 Jan 2005 01:42 GMT16
I think recently moses baskets were discussed, but of course I do not
recollect all the discussion.  We are still deciding an alternate sleeping
arrangement in our room for the baby (aside from our bed) and think a moses
basket would be handy.  For those that used one, did your ...
