Thanks for replies about weight loss during pregnancy. 17 Jan 2005 15:33 GMT5
I appreciate each persons answer and find the tips helpful.
I'd like to ask one more question.  Pregnancy for me isn't a pleasant
experience.  Except for the baby involved the whole ordeal is a burden.
The reason being is because of the constant woes of pregnancy.  I usually
OB/GYN or midwife?17 Jan 2005 13:01 GMT20
Or can I have both?
I have an OB/GYN but I have heard from other mothers that they only
come in at the end of the labor (ie the birth! :D).  However, it seems
that midwives are present throughout the labor.

So far so sick... ;-)17 Jan 2005 07:11 GMT45
Morning sickness has struck with a vengeance, and I have spend a
significant part of the day googling posts with 'cures' for m/s. I never
realized it could be so bad, and I really feel for women who have to deal
with this all through their pregnancy. Nevertheless, I'll not complain, ...
FAO Sophie17 Jan 2005 04:51 GMT16
I'm dying to know if it's a girl or a boy. I've gained more weight with this
one, but it's all in my stomach (no double chin, butt is still reasonably
similar to its non-pregnant size, etc.). I had an easy 1st trimester this
time (unlike last time) but am having complete ...
Last visit with midwife17 Jan 2005 03:11 GMT7
Well, this is it: we're on our own.
Yesterday was our last visit with our midwife at the Birth Centre.
I am doing fine and my perineal area is getting back in shape. Gotta do
those Kegel exercises more often, though. Everything has scared and is
A better up date17 Jan 2005 02:24 GMT2
It was a LONG 3 weeks or so since I had internet.  Xavier is growing like a
weed and Bonnie is gonna be in trouble when he learns how to tackle.  He
went from 75% about to 90% so the midwife(she does the 2 m check) said that
I should try to slow down his eating by not forcing him ...

I've had a fever and chills and diarrhea for about 24 hours now. And body
aches. AUGH.
The runs are making me cramp, too. UGH. Cervix isn't changing and baby isn't
Advice re: glucose tolerance test16 Jan 2005 09:06 GMT22
Just returned from 23 week scan, having been TOLD I must do a glucose tolerance test, due to having large babies before.
I've read up on the test itself and WHY it is advised it be done, but does anyone have personal experience of the test ?
Did anyone refuse the test ?
BTW IT'S A ...
Conception Intuition?16 Jan 2005 01:35 GMT4
Have you had an intuition that conception occurred before you had a
pregnancy test?
Some expectant mothers -- and expectant fathers -- have a "conception
intuition" during, immediately after, or within a few hours of lovemaking.
Need feeding advice15 Jan 2005 21:30 GMT51
Quinn will be 8 mos old as of the 7th.  In the last week he's figure out
how to crawl (and very well may I add, he's in absolutely everything al
the time), sit himself up, and feed himself cheerios and he's beginning
to attempt pulling up.  He's just kinda "evolved" all at once.  ...

unlikely that my early m/c's & 36 preterm delivery were from the same cause?
