Diet during pregnancy28 Jan 2005 15:50 GMT18
A while ago I responded to a thread on attempting weight loss during
pregnancy. Since then I've been doing some reading on the topic, and found
that I need to adjust my point of view on this. Mainly what struck me was
the enormous effect that malnutrition can have on a baby. The ...
iron tablets28 Jan 2005 08:21 GMT4
what do people think of taking them? my OB has recommended it, but not for
any particular reason, as in I'm not anemic, but to protect me from getting
anemic. My diet is quite different here due to availability and prices, beef
is expensive, spinach isn't available nor is dark ...
Not a good antenatal visit28 Jan 2005 01:59 GMT27
As you probably know I posted a few weeks back to say my baby had
turned out of a breech position as was now 2 fifths engaged.
Last week baby was still head down & 3 fifths engaged and it appeared
all was going well.
Conception Intuition? 28 Jan 2005 00:05 GMT48
Have you had an intuition that conception occurred before you had a
pregnancy test?
Some expectant mothers -- and expectant fathers -- have a "conception
intuition" during, immediately after, or within a few hours of lovemaking.
Abdominal Pain27 Jan 2005 23:46 GMT14
I've been getting terrible pain in my right side, similar to ''stitch'' when walking for a few days now. Over the last couple of days I've had more severe pain, similar to gastroenteritis, and it is constant.
I put the pains down to ligaments stretching and my constipation, but it ...

I had my 37+ week appointment today.  Good as normal.  She asked if I wanted
her to check my cervix and I said I didn't care.  Last week I was at a +1
station, 1.5cm dilated and 80%effaced......after her hemming and hawing she
decided that maybe she would.  Then, she matter of ...

Perinium27 Jan 2005 17:22 GMT14
We are 24 weeks along and I have been doing some reading on the perinium
area.  Frankly I will do anything not to tear and have stitches during
labour/birth.
What is everyone's experience??  Did you all tear or did you manage to do
More insurance/hospital bill fury...27 Jan 2005 13:43 GMT41
Well, our itemized bill *finally* came (a month after I requested it,
twice).  I don't know enough about the costs of procedures to be upset
about those, but $50 for breast shields??  That cost $5.99 at CVS???  $515
for 3 days of using their breast pump?  That costs $70 for a month ...

I'm a SuperTaster27 Jan 2005 05:03 GMT2
I'm 9w5d and in the throes of nausea and everything smelling bad to me.  DH
kissed me good night, and I said "you taste like bologna"  He was like, "I
didn't have any bologna", and began to rattle off what he had for dinner.  I
said, "well, you tasted like it" and then he ...
Bummed cause I'm GBS+27 Jan 2005 04:30 GMT6
I know it is not uncommon but what a PITA.
I am just hoping my water breaks later on in labour -- I think the odds
of that are good for a first-timer? Then I won't have to go in too
early in labour for the IV antibiotics.
Too tired to help around the house27 Jan 2005 04:03 GMT20
I am about five months pregnant and am still working. My husband helps
around the house - cleaning, cooking, etc. - but I still don't feel like I
have a lot of time to relax. And, I do want to help my husband around the
house, but I get tired very quickly. What do other expecting ...
When will I most likely go into labor27 Jan 2005 01:07 GMT14
With my son, I was induced at 42 weeks.  Until that point I had
absolutely no signs of impending labour.  I just wonder if anyone
knows, statistically wise, am I more likely  to go past my due date
again or is it completely random.
