New GD question for Ericka (or anyone with more knowledge than me)28 Feb 2005 23:34 GMT3
Yesterday morning, I woke at around 5 am, shaking, feeling nauseated, hot
and dizzy.  Figured I was having some kind of morning sickness (at 37
weeks?!?) so I ate some crackers and went back to sleep.  Morning blood
sugars were quite low for me, almost below 70.  After breakfast, ...

I've been searching the internet this evening for natural ways of inducing
labour and I came across this and it made me laugh, thought I'd share...

I am looking
For a few sets of keys.  The plastic teething keys.  But I am looking
specifically for the type that SNAPPED closed, making one big circle,
not the kind they sell today what with the hook so you can put it on
20 week scan - more questions than answers28 Feb 2005 13:10 GMT36
We've just had our 20 weeks scans - everything looked okay to our untrained
eye but the doctors and mid-wife couldn't rule out Spina Bifida.
As today is 20 weeks exactly we've been told it is too late to have an AFP
test and as we weren't given the choice of an AFP test (just told ...
Change of wardrobes...28 Feb 2005 07:34 GMT7
I'm in that awkward stage right now.  My regular pants
don't fit, maternity pants are better.  But, they require
long shirts, and most of my long shirts are maternity
shirts, and they're too big.
Continued inordinately long birth story: Sarah and Jamie Vaughan.  Part 228 Feb 2005 05:37 GMT3
After DH had taken the photos, I decided I'd better get the birth plan
written out for the midwives as well (I know, I know.  Look, I never
claimed to be a paragon of forward planning and organisation, all
right?) so I went to do that.  I asked DH whether he wanted me to write
Baby is here!28 Feb 2005 04:06 GMT30
Just a quick note to announce the arrival of baby Beckham Peter.  He was
born on Tuesday 2/15 at 5:03pm after a fairly quick labor and delivery.
7#7oz and 20.5 inches long.  He is super sweet, cute, and snuggly.  Birth
story to follow.
Induction went well!28 Feb 2005 03:55 GMT22
Stella Joy Rossi arrived yesterday (February 23rd at 6:50 am) after an
induced labour. She weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and is 20 inches long. She is
gorgeous and fiesty.
The longer story is that I was induced at 40w 6d for low amniotic
Sarah's birth story28 Feb 2005 01:19 GMT20
As hoped, the baby finally came early!!
I'd been having irregular contractions for over a week and was getting
seriously fed up. Finally, Sunday morning, at around 9 a.m., they started to
get reasonably regular at eight minutes apart. We went to the farmer's
Sigh...27 Feb 2005 23:50 GMT6
Damn those weekly pregnancy reminders. I just got one that says...
"Congratulations on your baby's birth! Yeah, mama!". There are some of us
who take a little longer to cook these babies okay!? Although I feel like
I'm done. It is so hard to get around these days.
Inordinately long birth story: Sarah and Jamie Vaughan.  Part 127 Feb 2005 22:36 GMT1
OK, so it only took me 14 weeks.  Hoping it's better late than never -
here's the birth story for anyone that's still interested.
Warning: One reason why this took me so long is because I was writing
this for my own diary as well as for mkp, and I really wanted to record

Newbie, story so far and question27 Feb 2005 17:30 GMT15
I've been lurking for a few months now and firstly wanted to say how
incredibly useful and wonderful this group is. The help I've found here has
been invaluable as my brief story below will show.
Me and my partner (is it easier to call him DH here, although we aren't
Going Off the Pill27 Feb 2005 11:54 GMT8
Is there a need to delay TTC for the first cycle after going off the pill?
I have heard "yes" from a lot of people, I've just not seen any hard
evidence to support the idea.
And, yes, in a few months, this long time lurker will hopefully become a
hip update27 Feb 2005 07:32 GMT2
I mentioned my hip pain to the chiropracter and he said that there had been
quite a big adjustment on that hip, so it wasn't surprising, he was more
gentle today and did some kind of theraputic loosening movements, the really
spooky thing was he also identified another point ...
