Now that you said it, every time I lug heavy baskets of laundry down the stairs, I giggle about how I'm still probably not encouraging labor. Thanks so much for making me smile doing a not-so-enjoyable task.

| How to know when to stop talking????????? | 11 Feb 2005 00:26 GMT | 84 |
I am 30 weeks pregnant and a close friend of mine is 12 weeks pregnant. We are both in our first pregnancies and both have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis so we are very glad to be pregnant. Problem is my friend asked me for advice early on in her pregnancy and I

| Breech baby - question about version | 10 Feb 2005 23:57 GMT | 29 |
My baby was noted to be breech on an ultrasound two weeks ago. I'm now 34 5/7 wks, and my baby was still breech today on the doctor's exam. While there is still a chance of her turning on her own, it's getting less likely the further along I get. The doctor said to try ...

| Wait-I don't think I'm ready.... | 10 Feb 2005 22:39 GMT | 8 |
Sadly, I don't think I am ready to go into labor yet mentally. Well, let me rephrase that: I feel more ready for the actual labor than the immediate postpartum phase. I really ought to be on beyond ready, as I am totally uncomfortable and having painful contractions throughout ...

| Watermelon | 10 Feb 2005 20:01 GMT | 14 |
I'm eating ridiculous quantities of watermelon. Probably because it's one of the few fruits that you can get in Indiana that aren't awful during the winter, and partly because it's one of the few fruits that I really, really like.

| D'oh! | 10 Feb 2005 19:30 GMT | 6 |
Well, baby's been riding low, and I decided to bring my exercise ball into the shower to sit on today. Now, as a doula, I was always very careful to put a towel down on the ball *before* a client sat on it.

| My sister (m/c mentioned) | 10 Feb 2005 18:13 GMT | 21 |
My sister, who is due in September, is possibly having a miscarriage. She woke up this morning with spotting, and it only seems to be progressing. She went in for an u/s today and some bloodwork, so I'll know more this afternoon. I feel positively terrible for her. She was ...

| UPDATE: I feel like whining. | 10 Feb 2005 18:08 GMT | 10 |
A few days ago I complained of feeling so tired and drug out with back pain. Quite a few of you recommended seeing a message therapist. I took your advice and made a few calls. It turns out that my health plan covers message if recommended by doctor and is by a registered

| C-Section and stairs | 10 Feb 2005 13:09 GMT | 53 |
I am only 21 weeks along, but have been thinking about which way I am going to birth this baby since before conception, and STILL can't decide whether I want to try for a VBAC or just schedule a c-section. There are so many pros and cons for each and some days I am certain that ...

| 21 Week Update | 10 Feb 2005 07:24 GMT | 10 |
Nothing to report really. Had my check up yesterday and baby sounds/looks good, heartbeat is right at 140, and I am measuring 23. Weight gain has slowed down - I gained 4lbs last month compared to a whopping 9lbs the month before. I talked to my OB about VBAC and what I am ...
