Post partum bleeding (possibly TMI for the squeamish?)26 Feb 2005 23:44 GMT5
Just wanted to get the ng's experience before I call my OB again. What's a
"normal" period of time for post partum bleeding? Not copious amount but
enough to need a couple of pantiliners a day and it's kind of milk
chocolatey brown to slightly reddish at 11 weeks tomorrow. I ...

My name is Missy and I am from Australia.  I have one little boy, and am
currently TTC ( or maybe not ... my husband says we should relax and
take our time :)
Anyway - i'm a little anxious about doing the right thing here - i'm a

Matey I can't remember where you are but if there is a "Warehouse" near you
they currently have really good feeding pillows for about $25.  I got one
this time and it is *wonderful*   - it seems to support DS perfectly (for
bf) and now that he is sitting up, I can wedge it behind ...

sleep position of 6-month-old26 Feb 2005 10:15 GMT8
DS2 was 6 months yesterday. We still put him on his back to sleep, in a
crib in our room, but he rolls very easily in all directions now, and
I've been finding him asleep on his tummy or side. We've been turning
him over, just in case, but sometimes this results in waking him. Not
Sad news26 Feb 2005 10:11 GMT10
I've just heard today, from a friend, her sister (31) died during labour 3 weeks ago. She was 30 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby girl, but she had a low lying placenta and they couldn't stop the bleeding, and eventually she bled to death.
The family are all in ...
Another kind of 'adjustment'26 Feb 2005 06:24 GMT7
Interesting experience today...  I'd been having trouble
peeing -- even if I had to go real bad, it was work to
get it to come out, felt like something was pressing
on my urethra.  I called the OB's office to see if this
13w update26 Feb 2005 00:43 GMT8
Well, we're officially moving out of the first trimester now. Our check
yesterday showed two lively babes inside. The one I feel on the left has
posterior placenta, the other has anterior placenta and therefore I cannot
feel it (her?). All's right on schedule, and the OB was quite ...
Sibling predicting gender - experience?25 Feb 2005 23:08 GMT8
A friend of mine just had a baby yesterday and her experience with
her older son (N.) got me wondering. Her son (3.5 years) has
been insisiting from the beginning that the baby was a girl and that her
name was Elizabeth. (He also insisted she was going to have a baby

I've been having bad SI joint pain for the past week so my midwife has
referred me to an Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (who specializes in
pregnancy and is also a doula!) for some acupuncture. While I'm there, she's
going to see if some acupuncture might speed up the ...
Re. the twins have they got big so fast25 Feb 2005 19:54 GMT4
I just clicked it before reading Tori's and Melania's comments.  I too
wanted to see the babyies.  Not only is it a link to porn, but it infected
my computer with a virus.  Norton picked it up before the site was even
fully loaded.  Tori and Melania, you might want to run a scan to ...
