37.5 week update17 Feb 2005 13:44 GMT8
Still at 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Why oh why do I let him do a vaginal
when I know it brings nothing but heartbreak? He said that he doesn't expect

OTOH, I did have a lovely hour of 10 minute apart ...

Has anyone had this same experience.
I have already had my scan and it has been confirmed that I am having a girl
but I keep dreaming that when my baby is born it is a boy.

Well - hello again!
I posted to introduce myself at the end of last year, but have been
unable to get back onto mkp to post since then - Google is very

For the "pushing" contractions leaning somewhat forward -- first
contraction, on the edge of the hot tub and after that I called my mother
into the room and grabbed around her waist as she stood by the tub, with her
She turned!16 Feb 2005 23:17 GMT6
Catherine went from belly to back this morning! I am quite thrilled, don't
ask me why!
She looked so pleased with herself, but I figure it may have been just
because I was so exhuberant about the whole thing!
Achey breaky bones...16 Feb 2005 22:00 GMT1
Is anyone else having trouble with their joints?  I'm only 14 weeks,
but since Monday my shoulders have been achey, the place where my spine
meets my pelvis feels really, really angry, and the place where my head
screws onto my neck is just killing me.  Everything is popping and

By me.  Remember, you heard it here first.
In the last week I have managed to burn myself, lightly sprain an ankle, and
drop more things than I can remember.  ISTR it happened last pregnancy as well.
Braxton Hicks16 Feb 2005 20:06 GMT4
Did anyone else get pain with braxton hicks in their first pregnancy and at
31 weeks.
I was asleep a couple of nights ago and woke up with tightening of my
stomach which has been happening for a while but these tightenings came with
Low Blood Platelet Count16 Feb 2005 18:57 GMT10
I had blood work done with my glucose test in late December and was
told I had a low platelet count.  They retested a month later and have
been told it's still low.  The OB has just called to set up an
appointment this week (instead of waiting until my next appointment
Valentine's Day?16 Feb 2005 16:16 GMT50
So, what are everyone's plans for Valentine's day?
The restaurants here are always a zoo, so we're planning a nice, quiet
dinner at home.  I got my husband's favorite (a filet of salmon stuffed
with a cheese and rice mixture that our deli makes, that I'll cook at
Walgreens brand diapers16 Feb 2005 08:17 GMT4
Has anyone used the Walgreen's Land Before Time diapers?  Any comments on
them?  How do they compare to Pamper's Baby Dry?  The reason I ask is that
they are currently on sale BOGO free.  You end up getting 56 size 3 diapers
for $6.49.  Is it worth a shot?  TIA!
Is sinus medication ok during pregnancy?15 Feb 2005 22:47 GMT4
I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have the worst sinus headaches. Is it ok for

A flower name...what do you think?15 Feb 2005 19:29 GMT103
Well, as one can tell by my sig.  I have two daughters with flower names.
My last pregnancy I was seriously considering Violet or Lily.  Now, those
two names have not been scratched off my list.  In fact, they pretty much
ARE the names I'm going to choose from, but yesterday I ...
