gestational diabetes topic again... I know I'm flogging a dead horse already...28 Mar 2005 23:38 GMT25
So in my debating and attempt at declining the glucose tolerance testing
yesterday with my doctor (she wanted me to do 3 screens, one early, one
usual, and one later because of my first birth almost nine years ago being a
9lb 8oz baby), the doctor acknowledged my opinion and then ...
Enfamil and allergies?28 Mar 2005 22:18 GMT2
Has anyone ever experienced this problem with Enfamil (powder formula):
I gave it to DD today - of course she only took a few sip before going
"yuk". About 3 minutes after drooling the formula, we noticed her chin and
the area around her mouth was all reddened and little pimples ...
post natal periods28 Mar 2005 20:11 GMT7
My wife gave birth to our little girl in June 2004. Her periods resumed
7 months after the delivery. She has now just finished her second
period. However, her first two (and only) post-natal periods have been
extremely long (2 weeks) and more painful than usual.
OT, funny: Mom-ing each other28 Mar 2005 19:55 GMT3
I was out to lunch with a faculty candidate and
several folks from our department last week.  I was
sitting next to a colleague who is also a mom (her
son is about 18mo, I think).  I dropped my menu

Pediatrician visit28 Mar 2005 19:45 GMT14
Gotta say, my pediatrician has been great for dd1, but the first checkup for
Shiny was Not Fun. Got in at 9 am and didn't get out until 11:15.
First, while Shiny looks *great* and is eating well and my milk was already
in that day (5 days old) and she wasn't the least bit ...

shocked, NICE guidelines28 Mar 2005 01:36 GMT3
NICE stands for National Institute for Clinical Excellence, it basically
produces guidelines for how medical stuff should be treated in the UK as
well as how procedures are best done etc.
Anyway I am reading there c-section guidelines in the hope of finding
Abdominal exercises27 Mar 2005 20:48 GMT7
I started going to a water aerobics class since I am feeling kind of fat and
clumsy.  I am just starting to get the feel of how to get a really good
workout in the water, and today the instructor pulls the rug out from under
me.  I guess she saw the belly and asked me if I were ...
Almost there?27 Mar 2005 13:19 GMT13
I'll be 39 weeks on Sunday. For the past several days I've been having
intermittent crampy feelings low in my belly - not necessarily always
associated with contractions, although it's still hard for me to tell
that I'm having a Braxton-Hicks contraction without a lot of

My poor little guy has a cold27 Mar 2005 00:42 GMT1
OK, I know that it doesn't sound that bad but he's just coughing and
coughing and coughing.  He even threw up his lunch he was coughing so
much.  I feel so bad for him, it sounds awful.  I wish there was
something more I can do for him.

yet another "antidepressant moment"26 Mar 2005 18:31 GMT1
Many of you have been asking and wondering if this latest school shooting was
not yet another "antidepressant moment" as were the majority of the others.
The answer to that is, "Yes, of course." There was every clue . . . the black
clothes, the obsession with Nazi's or Arian ...
