Input needed on problems during pregnancy because of hormones!26 Mar 2005 12:32 GMT112
I love my wife dearly and there is nothing that I went through during
the entire 9 months our pregnancy that I would not would not endure
again when I think about the joy brought into both of our lives as a
result.

kids stuff church consignment sales26 Mar 2005 03:17 GMT3
I wish someone had told me these existed when I was pregnant with #1!  So if
you haven't heard of them -- find out if you have them in your town.  We
have them almost every weekend and the stuff is GOOD and CHEAP.  I got
single & double umbrella strollers and 3 slings today -- OK ...
I found my doula!26 Mar 2005 00:54 GMT4
I owe Melania a big hearty kiss! :-D [It turns out that not only do Melania
and I live in the same city, we live *one block* away from each other!]
The doula she suggested is a very good fit for me, with the perfect balance
between natural and alternate remedies and medical ...
Triple screen formula25 Mar 2005 22:09 GMT1
Does anyone know the formula that is used to calculate the risk of Down
Syndrome based on the 3 markers from the triple screen?  Also, how
dramatic is the effect of the fetus's age on the result?  I just had
the test done, and am waiting for the result, but my period was never

A new take on name polls...25 Mar 2005 02:37 GMT14
Hi all...
I'm at 24 weeks now, and still have no really strong liking for a
particular boys' name.  So, I'll throw it out to you...what are your
favourite names for boys?  I need ideas, and hopefully will love one

midwives appointment25 Mar 2005 00:08 GMT6
Thanks for all the replies to my "bad 30 weeks appointment" post.
I talked to someone from La Leche League (she's a doula, too) and she
recommended several doctors and several midwives & birth centers in the
area.
Newspaper from 15/03/05?24 Mar 2005 23:35 GMT5
I realise it's a bit late in the day now that a week has gone by, but I was
wondering if anyone here might have a newspaper from the 15th of March (last
Tuesday). Our son was born that day, and we meant to buy a newspaper to
keep, but we never got around to it. I'm hoping people who ...
Rebecca Jo's 'bad' 30 weeks appt24 Mar 2005 21:59 GMT2
Rebecca Jo's 'bad' 30 weeks appt thread was one of the best I've seen,
culminating as it did with Rebecca Jo making an appointment with another
provider, a midwife I think.

short of breath24 Mar 2005 21:53 GMT6
this baby is so high that I am feeling short of breath, not just when I am
doing something, but even sitting down, I'm actually having to take breaks
when typing, about every line. I know shortness of breath is a third
trimester thing, but surely not this bad? I don't know if I ...

In the 2ww24 Mar 2005 08:07 GMT4
Man, I thought I knew my body so well.  Then the whole TTC thing happens,
and now it's like "What was that twinge? Are my boobs normally this
sensitive? Maybe they are and I just didn't notice.  Another twinge?  Or
gas?"
Ouch... first discomforts in pelvic area24 Mar 2005 06:01 GMT8
Towards the end of my first pregnancy I had symfesis pains that would
mostly constrict me in getting in and out of bed, turn around in my sleep
and walk up the stairs. That didn't start until roughly the third
trimester and was quite manageable.
