Shiny's birth story20 Mar 2005 03:25 GMT29
Monday night, I went to sleep grappling with the fact that at 41 w 3 d pg,
it felt like my body was just "done" and that baby was wanting to come out,
but that labor wasn't kicking in. A day or two prior I'd bought castor oil
and left it in the cupboard. That night I took a ...

cramping in early pregnancy19 Mar 2005 23:21 GMT3
Is it normal to have continuous cramping pains in early pregnancy? I'm 6
weeks and today and am having really achy cramping pain in my lower abdomen
all day today.  I never get cramps during my period so not sure if this is
the same type of cramp but guess it probably is.
level II u/s at 32 weeks19 Mar 2005 23:19 GMT1
I just got my level II u/s now at 32 weeks because I did not have
insurance coverage at 20 weeks.  No signs of any problems, and baby is
measuring spot on just like my first 2 kids did, pretty good for a
diabetic who controls her own insulin/blood sugar levels.
Hospital Visit Last Night19 Mar 2005 22:45 GMT3
I felt really strange all day yesterday like my hips were aching and
it felt like my perineum was being stretched to the max, I thought it
might have been from the pelvic rocks that I started doing this week
as a previous post had said that pelvic rocks were good when the baby

infant screeching normal?19 Mar 2005 15:52 GMT5
In the last few days, our 4 1/2 month old little girl has taken to
screeching much of her waking hours.  She doesn't appear to be in the least
bit of distress; rather, she just seems to be entertaining herself by
listening to her own newly found voice. Is this typical?  It's ...
AFP results :)19 Mar 2005 13:12 GMT10
I had to call my OB's office to pester them.  It seems
the lab had the results, but hadn't sent them to the OB
yet, but they called when I pestered them and got them.
So, the summary is: normal.
What came in the mail today....19 Mar 2005 07:57 GMT2
My Hotslings sling arrived today.  Very fast, as it was mailed on Monday.
Anyway, I am having a heck of a time getting it to work.  I tried it and
Baby Beck looked all squished and desparate to get out......I am going to
try again tomorrow.  The directions were confusing to me ...
24 week check up19 Mar 2005 07:49 GMT2
DW went for her latest checkup.
BP was right on the money, but there was a slight trace of protein in her
water sample. Nothing to worry about, we've been assured, (I'm sure the
incredible amounts of cranberry juice she's putting away must effect those

Need some expert advice :-)19 Mar 2005 05:43 GMT34
So I am interviewing potential doulas at the moment. There seems to be a
pattern here. I know I want pain relief in my birth plan - and by pain
relief I mean something like an epidural. Everything goes so well in the
interview until we get to this point. It seems many doulas are ...

Doctor advice18 Mar 2005 22:59 GMT8
What would you do if you heard second hand (through the person's
mother) that someone you don't really respect (for a variety of reasons
that aren't worth going into) didn't like your doctor?
This is the only feedback I've had about my doctor from anyone in town,
