Hiccups30 Apr 2005 17:01 GMT11
I'm just curious...When I was pg with DD she had about two or three bouts of
hiccups that I noticed during my whole pg.  This one has at least 3 or 4
every day, usually more.  I don't recall DD being any more hiccuppy than the
average baby, but was wondering, since this one hiccups ...
Music.30 Apr 2005 11:45 GMT5
All the handy things you'll need to give birth lists seem to include
some thing about make sure you've got some music you'll like.
GF and I were talking about it and drew a blank. So anyone any suggestions
as to what they recommend as music to give birth to?
labour question30 Apr 2005 08:01 GMT12
I am 39.5 weeks. My OB checked me today at 1:30 and said I was not dilated
at all. About four hours later, I started feeling crampy, like menstrual or
bowel movement type cramps. I'm also getting lots of BH contractions. Should
I be worried? Could labour be starting even though I ...

My bp is inching up.  It had come down with the aldomet, and it just
keeps pushing up again.  So, I have added things that lower it like
Disappearing butts30 Apr 2005 05:22 GMT19
I'm not some old slob who goes around ogling at female
butts all the time, however, I have noticed what I
believe to be a real phenomenon of our times:  post-
puberty girls, and young women don't have a.ses anymore;
ouch29 Apr 2005 21:24 GMT7
about half an hour ago I got this sharp pain under my ribs on my right hand
side, first thought was baby kicking, or just not sat in a comfortable
position, so I got up and moved around, but the pain has not faded at all,
and the kicks I've felt haven't been in that area. As far ...
My largeness29 Apr 2005 17:55 GMT23
I have an OB appointment on Monday and wondered what you thought.  I
measured my fundal height last night, but in my "noviceness" I am not sure I
did it completely right.  However, the measurement I got was 38cm (I will be
33 weeks on Friday), which still has me measuring 5 weeks ...

Hello, moms and moms to be!
I'm researching options for a newborn now, and my choices are:
carriage/basinette, stroller that folds down flat and has a boot, and
car seat/carrier as stroller.
why is pregnancy so miserable?29 Apr 2005 09:38 GMT20
Or am I the only one who feels like this?  I know we all talk about the
"miracle of life", but for me lately, it seems to be more of a trial by
fire.  I am moody, constantly nauseous, feel fat and ugly, can't sleep, my
boobs hurt, etc.  This is my second child, and I think that ...

Thanks for nanny help!29 Apr 2005 04:27 GMT1
I really appreciate everyone's comments
on my nanny issues.  I am learning that most
of them are non-issues and I should back off
because it can be stressful for her that I'm
A suggestion for Carl28 Apr 2005 20:45 GMT7
Carl,
Do you have a threaded newsreader?  What i mean is one that shows
an original post, and all it's responses together is one string
of articles seperated from the other articles.

Well, there you go - I'm at term!!
Everything hunky dory healthwise, and I checked with doc that the
hospital rooms have birthing balls (they do), so I don't have to bring
my own. Also, GBS neg, hurray! Baby's head is further down than two
Does father determine/contribute gestation length?28 Apr 2005 19:28 GMT8
I did a little googling, and I found one article that suggested it was a
possibility that the father could have some bearing on gestation length.
The reason I'm asking is mainly out of curiosity.  I have a BIL who has
fathered 5 children with three women.  My sister will be the ...
