years evening.

My wife is pregnant and our child will be born next year. My wife does not
How did you break the news?04 Apr 2005 03:39 GMT5
I just found out I'm pregnant today. I am waiting for my DH to come home
and tell him. Just out of interest, I wondered how everybody else broke
the news to their DH or Partner and how they reacted.

39.5 week midwife visit04 Apr 2005 02:54 GMT17
For all that I was frustrated by the way my preliminary labor signs
vanished last Sunday, it does seem like there's been good progress: at
today's visit I was 3cm dilated (!!!) and 60% effaced, and the baby
has moved down to -1 station. (No wonder I'm feeling so much pelvic
40 week + 2 day appointment03 Apr 2005 23:40 GMT7
Had a doctors appointment today and it went pretty good, except for the
exceptionally long wiating period.  I am 3 cm dialated and pretty
thinned out (not sure of the number she said).  She also said baby is
down pretty far and is ready to come out.  My platelets were down to 61
how soon did you start to show?03 Apr 2005 23:37 GMT6
During my first pregnancy (8 years ago) I wore all my same clothes until
about 4 months.  I just found out I was pregnant a couple days ago, so I'm
only about 4 weeks.  I haven't really gained any weight, but my
belly/abdomen are so much bigger, there's no way I can fit into my ...
Milk stops flowing at 5 months? Will it come back?03 Apr 2005 06:12 GMT5
Hi, my wife has been breastfeeding our little one for about five months with
no problems with her supply, but today her milk stopped flowing (actually,
it's just a trickle).  We don't see any major changes that would have caused
this.  Might the milk start flowing again?  Is ...
Bath temperatures03 Apr 2005 00:00 GMT5
Does anyone know what the maximum temperature for a bath should be while
you're pregnant and at what stage of pregnancy you should start being
concerned about it?  I know some people have said if you start feeling faint
it's too hot but at what temperature does a bath stop being ...
Silly question02 Apr 2005 13:22 GMT7
When are you supposed to pack your bag for the hospital?  I can't for the

midwife interview02 Apr 2005 02:55 GMT18
I had the midwife interview today and it went fabulously. :-D
I am now going to be giving birth in the birth center with the wonderful (SO
NICE!) midwife instead of in a hospital with the doctor. The birth center
was very nice and comfortable feeling.
menstrual tracker02 Apr 2005 00:57 GMT4
Does anybody know of a freeware program or a free online site to track
your menstrual cycles?  I'd like one with a lot of features.  Thanks so
much!!!

Has anyone had an early scan around 7 weeks and not been able to see
anything and then gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

BH contractions01 Apr 2005 20:17 GMT12
They never really bothered me when I was pregnant with DS. If I had them,
I must have missed most of them. But since a few days I have quite a lot,
and I'm getting slowly worried. I will call my OB/GYN later today (when I
have some privacy in the office), but in the mean time I was ...
Moaning : strained back!01 Apr 2005 16:52 GMT4
What a nightmare! I strained my back yesterday morning when I picked up DD.
I suppose I made a false move, even though I took care to bend my knees and
not lean over too much... Well, what's done is done: I strained my
sacro-lombaire (sorry, don't know in English, only it's in ...
17 week update (long!)01 Apr 2005 16:23 GMT20
It's been a long time, reasons for that are listed below for those that
are interested. The sort version is that the pregnancy is progressing
really well! Another u/s on wednesday showed beyond any doubt that at
least one of the babies is a boy. She puts the sensor on my belly, BANG ...
Heartrate question01 Apr 2005 16:15 GMT12
I got my new doppler this morning and both times I have checked the baby the
heartrate has been between 180-185. In the leaflet it says normal is between
120-160.
Am I worrying over nothing? With my boys their heartrates were around
