I love my midwife26 Apr 2005 10:37 GMT13
I had a visit today from my midwife, she is just fantastic, I'm measuring
28cm, which at 32+3 is definitely small, but she's not panicing, she says if
she does anything now I will get sucked into the system at the hospital and
there just isn't any need for it. She does however ...

I am hoping it is a good sign baby is getting ready to arrive on its
own since I do want to avoid induction and am having bp issues.
The last 3 evenings I am having braxton hicks that come every 5 minutes
or so apart for a few hours.  I had almost no braxton hicks in my prior

7 wk u/s coming up...what to expect?26 Apr 2005 05:50 GMT15
I have my 7 wk "viability" u/s on Friday and know that we're primarily
looking for the heartbeat, but had some questions about what to expect.
Did you see the heartbeat yourself right away or did the tech need to point
it out?  ( I dread trying to read facial expressions during ...
40.5 week midwife visit26 Apr 2005 04:49 GMT11
I can't believe that I'm still pregnant after 10 days of prelabor.
Yesterday the cramping and the sharp pains around my cervix were so
uncomfortable that they almost had me crying. Today I'm feeling a bit
better, physically - well enough that I took a walk around the block -
Clicking sounds?26 Apr 2005 03:18 GMT6
I keep hearing a clicking sound when my baby kicks (not every time, but
at least once or twice a day). I didn't hear any clicks with my first
pregnancy. What is that?
Thanks,

My hCG levels are dropping now, no question about it. Doc says it can take
anywhere from a week to a month for my body to figure it out. Then I'll
start to spot, then bleed more heavily, and the actual miscarriage usually
takes about 4 hours. But I can have ibuprofen, she says, ...

Should children witness child birth?
Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call.
The house was very, very dark, so the
paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-year-old girl, to hold a flashlight high over her

Just had a positive pregnancy test on Friday!  Very excited.  DH and I got a
bit carried away over Easter, with no thought to the fact that if we
conceived we'd be looking at a Christmas/New Year baby!  Due date is
Christmas Eve!

general questions about what's ok25 Apr 2005 01:17 GMT13
It's been over 8 years since I was pregnant last.  I've got so many
questions, and hope some of you can shed a little light...
Coffee - is a cup a day ok?  I'd really hate to give it up.  I drink NO
other caffeinated beverages besides a morning cup of coffee.
