| 28.5 week OB visit | 17 Apr 2005 01:28 GMT | 15 |
Everything looks great. Baby is HEAD DOWN! Yay! His heartbeat was 141, I am measuring at 32 weeks (hit a big growth spurt apparently!), and weight gain is only 1.5lbs since last visit three weeks ago, making my total weight gain 18.5lbs (I gained 35 with my DD but was on bedrest ...

| Am I leaking? | 16 Apr 2005 19:46 GMT | 23 |
Sorry if this is TMI, but I've had more than normal vaginal discharge throughout this pregnancy (normal) but the last couple of days it feels like I'm even more "wet". At first I thought it might be the start of my plug but it's definately not thick and it is clear.

| It's happened... | 16 Apr 2005 15:19 GMT | 2 |
Okay, it's finally happened. I'm at 28 weeks now, and I've hit that point where people, instead of saying "My you look great," now touch my stomach and say "Wow, that's huge." I don't feel so big yet, but people obviously think I look like a whale. Oh well...wait till they

| Elective C-sections | 16 Apr 2005 00:56 GMT | 14 |
*WHY* do so many women want them? Is it so they can get more pity and "Oh you poor thing, are you ok? type comments? Just for special attention? C-sections should *only* be carried out in the way they were meant to be.... in EMERGENIES only.

| OB visit | 15 Apr 2005 19:47 GMT | 3 |
So I saw the OB today as a follow up to Monday's hospital visit. BP fine (100/60, as opposed to 112/50 at the hospital, which seemed very odd for me), baby's heartbeat fine. From talking to the OB, it

| oops, fell over | 15 Apr 2005 19:42 GMT | 7 |
well I've heard of many people doing this in later pregnancy, I managed to trip over absolutely nothing, couldn't save myself and came down to earth with a bump. Unfortunately I've bruised my knee quite badly, but at least there was no harm to bump or Nathanael who was on my back ...

| Turning into a lizard at 22 weeks | 15 Apr 2005 14:27 GMT | 10 |
I am so dry. My skin is turning into "old lady" skin - with fine wrinkles like tissue paper that's been wadded up and then flattened back out. I'm thirsty all the time - right now, even though I just finished a 20 oz bottle of water in half an hour! I know I've read

| At last!! | 15 Apr 2005 12:21 GMT | 24 |
Alexandra Calvert was born on Monday, April 11 at 6:21pm, in a 7-hour unmedicated VAGINAL DELIVERY. She's 8 pounds 4 ounces, and 20 inches long. I am tired, sore, and very very happy. She's already nursing like a champ.

| Birth Story-late | 15 Apr 2005 01:32 GMT | 12 |
It is wonderful to be writing a birth story this year. Exactly one year ago (which ironically became my due date this year)I was lying on a table with a CT scan of my head and neck to rule out lymphoma-it was a nerve wracking few months of neck ultrasounds, labs, brain MRI's, ...

| Questions for Doula at Interview | 15 Apr 2005 00:41 GMT | 4 |
I really hope this question hasn't been asked a million times already. I searched google groups and didn't see the answer yet. Anyway, next week I have 3 interviews lined up with doulas in my area. I have looked at the DONA website and have seen the list of questions that

| Can I be pregnant? | 14 Apr 2005 20:43 GMT | 3 |
I'm a teenager and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend a week ago and my period has just been over for 3 days. I've heard that it's harder to get pregnant the first 5 days after your period, Is this true? What are my chances of being pregnant?

| 30.5 week OB visit | 14 Apr 2005 19:41 GMT | 21 |
Well, there's good news and bad news. First, good news. BP is fine, no GD, baby's heartbeat is strong and at 140, still head down. Minute amount of ankle swelling that I haven't even noticed so it can't be bad! Bad news. I am measuring at 5 weeks bigger than my dates. I will be ...
