| Travel + pregnancy. Recommended or not? | 12 May 2005 03:18 GMT | 10 |
We have a couple camping trips planned for this spring and summer... One is coming up in just under 2 weeks, which will bring me up to just over 30 weeks along. Right now, I feel up to it. It's only about a 2-3 hour drive away, and the ONLY reason I am considering going is ...

| GDS - Necessary or not? | 11 May 2005 20:25 GMT | 6 |
I'm wondering how important getting the gestational diabetes screen done is. I've been running into major problems with it, since the latest clinic that does these tests is open until 23:00. The soonest I seem to be able to make it is at 22:00, and that doesn't make them happy. ...

I'm very excited because it has taken me quite a while to get pregnant and I have had one loss. I am finally starting to get some energy back and am enjoying this :) I can't believe I made it through the first 3 months with my sanity in tact!

| your opinion please | 11 May 2005 17:25 GMT | 24 |
I'm torn between the idea of whether or not to invite my cousin/closest friend to join my husband and I for labour and delivery. On one hand, she's very supportive and nurturing (though naive about the whole labour thing, ex: thought it would only hurt during pushing!) and she'd ...

| I'm nesting | 11 May 2005 17:19 GMT | 5 |
this is very very odd for me, I am just not the nesting type, I never really did it with Nathanael, now it seems incredibly important that I have exactly what I need all ready and that everything is just so, it is fairly difficult to move around and make everything just so right ...

| Useless Baby Gear | 11 May 2005 15:30 GMT | 136 |
I've been combing the Google group archives for recent posts on baby gear that turns out to be useless. From the limited info out there, I have determined that these lists vary by baby and family lifestyle, naturally. However I just simply have not read enough to feel I am truly ...

| Painting | 11 May 2005 13:38 GMT | 8 |
I've done my research and generally what I've read is that you should avoid fumes, including paint, but that no harmful effects have been linked to painting while pregnant. I'm 23 wks pregnant and really want to do some painting (we've recently

| OB/GYN in Winston-Salem, NC? | 11 May 2005 04:52 GMT | 2 |
We're relocating to Winston-Salem, and are in need of an Ob/Gyn. Any recommendations of doctors and/or clinics? We're due just a couple months after the move, would there be a problem finding a doctor to take us on?

| Triple Screen, Amnio, other tests | 11 May 2005 04:07 GMT | 28 |
Is there a good comprehensive site - either web or in a book - that lists all these sorts of tests, the risks of the tests themselves, the % of false negative/false positives? And can anyone offer their own experiences? We're debating whether to

| Question - Finding out sex (being disapointed) | 11 May 2005 03:53 GMT | 22 |
I feel like I'm a bad mom. I have a DS that is turning 5 in July. My DH and I have been trying to have another one for 2 1/2 years (I have PCOS). Now I'm 16 weeks along (yay!!) and I'm really concerned about something.

| Young lady, that will go on your permanent record! | 11 May 2005 00:08 GMT | 36 |
So, last night I went to the LLL meeting to see if anyone knew anything about my doctor. No luck. I also described the issues I'm having (to recap, I'm nervous as all hell that my doctor has already mentioned induction - as in "I don't 'let' my patients go past 41 weeks," - three

| braxton hicks? | 10 May 2005 22:44 GMT | 2 |
I am in my 23rd week of my first pregnancy. I am not sure if I am having Braxton hicks or is it baby's movements. Also, sometimes I feel like my cervix is "opening" and "closing" and couldn't find any info about it. Any clues?
