DS 3yo visit/Ped. on club foot10 May 2005 19:23 GMT6
DS had his 3yo well-child visit yesterday.  At
3, he's exactly 3'3" tall, which I think is quite
cute.  He got to do the hearing and vision tests
for the first time, as well as a blood pressure
Cold medicines during pregnancy10 May 2005 19:20 GMT7
Anyone know what OTC cold/cough medicines are ok during pregnancy?  I
know Sudafed is ok, but is there anything else, especially anything
that can help a runny nose and cough?  Thanks!

Unfortunate mistake10 May 2005 13:30 GMT17
My best friends step sister had her baby Yesterday.  The sonographer
repeatedly told her throughout her pregnancy she was having a girl.  Well
She popped out a boy instead.   I guess this can be honestly mistaken lol.
I hope it doesn't happen to us.  I go for my last full scan on ...
Quinine in tonic water and pregnancy?10 May 2005 01:34 GMT1
Quinine is the safest of the malaria drugs for pregnant women, but it
still carries risks.
But I'm wondering if the quinine in tonic water is so low as to not
make a difference? Anyone have any references to share? I did a medline
I think The Rash is back . . . :(09 May 2005 20:20 GMT7
Well, after several days of trying desperately to ignore my itchy
belly, I have come to terms with the fact that I am probably developing
PUPPP again. Grrr. I have some tell-tale red welts showing up in my
stretch marks, and the itchiness is getting worse.
Morning sickness nighmare...09 May 2005 20:18 GMT14
My wife is now exactly 12 weeks pregnant.  From 6 weeks she's
suffered, from what seems to be, relatively (comparative to our
friends/others) bad morning sickness - extreme nausea mostly all day,
vomiting from 1 to up to maximum 5 or 6 times daily.
Strange rash09 May 2005 20:12 GMT1
Shortly after we found out we were pregnant, I noticed these little red dots
on my chest.  They're hard to explain... The best way I can explain it is
they look almost like little burns.  Something one might get if frying bacon
at high temps and have little splatters of the bacon ...
Sex of baby?09 May 2005 20:02 GMT32
We're having an argument over what determines the sex of a baby.
Is it the father's sperm or the mother's egg that determines sex, or is it
both together or neither?
I have no idea where to look for this info, but we've been arguing over it,
length of pushing stage in second pregnancy?09 May 2005 17:09 GMT29
So, my lovely doctor (and she really is lovely) mentioned for about the
hundredth time today that second babies come faster and that I should
be ready to come in at the drop of a hat. I believe her exact words
were, "given that you only pushed for 45 minutes with your first, don't
contractions and stress attacks09 May 2005 16:33 GMT3
Well I got 3 weeks left and have been considerably stressed out.  Well this
child doesn't like stress.  I ended up in the hospital friday from not
sleeping and being stressed out along with dehydration and contractions at
every 15 mins apart.  They did a check but I'm still long and ...
couldn't believe this09 May 2005 06:50 GMT5
When I was at the hospital on Thursday, the midwife asked me something about
appointment with consultant to discuss induction, I wasn't sure whether she
meant whether had I had one before my previous induction (no, induction was
booked by midwife and kicked off by registrar), or ...
A message from researchers at the University of Oklahoma09 May 2005 06:41 GMT1
Hello. My name is Jennifer, and I am a researcher at the University of
Oklahoma who is conducting research on Internet support groups, such as
this strong group about pregnancy. Our research team is interested in
understanding how people communicate in on-line support groups, and we
measuring small, HELP!09 May 2005 03:23 GMT12
I'm 25 weeks pregnant and at my appointment on wednesday my doc said I'm
measuring a tad too small.  Around 23cm.  I have to go in for an ultrasound
next week to check and see how much the baby has grown.  I was wondering
what all this could mean?  I have read some about IUGR so ...
