how on earth do you cope in the last few weeks?09 May 2005 00:04 GMT5
I've had 3 days of not being in sole charge of a toddler and over that 3
days everything seems to have changed, my SPD which has been just annoying
and requiring me to be careful doing certain activities has suddenly
deteriorated, to the point where I am struggling to dress ...

Help (quick!) Kicked in tummy08 May 2005 14:32 GMT6
My DD, in a fit of excitement kicked her legs while I was changing her
diaper and got me square in the tummy.  It was pretty high up on the right
side (baby is head down with his back to the left) so I'm guessing she'd
have got his legs or butt.  I'm a bit nervous because I am sore ...

with a retained placenta in a hospital setting?
Thanks.
ordered my pool08 May 2005 09:39 GMT7
I just ordered the pool I plan to birth in, some very helpful people from
the ukhomebirth yahoo group had managed to track it down at almost half the
price the companies selling it as a birth pool were advertising at, so it's
only ended up costing me 34 pounds, about 60USD, which ...
kegels08 May 2005 09:25 GMT21
This comes by way of a poster on another chat group - she's in Holland,
and was told in her childbirth class absolutely NOT to do kegels, that
it strengthens muscles keeping the baby in, making delivery much much
harder.
sharp pain in bump08 May 2005 05:37 GMT7
this hurts, but I have a really sharp pain at the front of my bump, kind of
above my belly button, but well below the top or my uterus. I have no idea
what could be causing it because the only thing that is there is the bump,
no ligaments, no muscles, no organs, just pain
FAO: Rebecca Jo08 May 2005 00:33 GMT4
I was thinking about you the other night when I woke up and had to put
anti-itch lotion on my belly :( (if I can make it 3 more weeks without
a flare-up I should be in the clear).
Just wondering how it's going for you with the PUPPPS - you're off work
Joy to Share: 5-week old began nuring (long)07 May 2005 23:56 GMT9
Wesley turns 6 weeks today. And we have a little joy to share.
It's been quite an eventful first month: DH had shingles in the face 2
days after Wesley was born and was thus barred from the hospital while
Wesley and I were put in "contact control" (plain English: isolation).
Wandering back...07 May 2005 22:18 GMT2
Greetings to everybody. Some may remember me from about a year ago. I think
a lot won't though. There seems to be a lot of new faces here from when I
was here :)

Missing messages...help!07 May 2005 15:39 GMT2
I had a peculiar problem. MKP disappeared completely from my server. I had
to call for technical support to get it back. It turns out that I had to
delete all my newsgroups and start all over again downloading the complete
list of newsgroups and subscribing all over again.
hyperviscosity07 May 2005 15:25 GMT8
A doctor just came and told me my newborn has hyperviscosity, which he
said is too high a percentage of red blood cells in the blood.  Her red
blood cells were 71% of the blood.   She does look quite red too.  They
told me it is from not having her cord clamped right away, and that ...
Australian Dietary Recommendations for Pregnant Women07 May 2005 04:32 GMT9
Someone recently asked for dietary information, so here are the Australian
Guidelines:
Cereals:  4-6 serves (1 serve = 2 slices bread, 1 cup pasta/rice/breakfast
cereal, half cup muesli)
Foreskin Restoration; O-ring Method07 May 2005 01:44 GMT1
In case you were circumcised and don't agree with your parents'
decision to have a go at you with sharp instruments (talk about social
blind spots--think of all the milder forms of diddling with a boy's
penis that would get someone locked away for a lloooong time), you may
