first OB appt05 May 2005 00:19 GMT10
I met with my regular OB for the first time today since the HPT.  (had 7 wk
u/s with RE office).  She "measured" uterine size by feel and said I'm right
for my dates (10w4d).  She said it was too early for Doppler.  I opted for
the first trimester nuchal translucency u/s for Down ...
New Baby On The Way - Busy Toddler - Need Advice!04 May 2005 22:47 GMT21
My ds is 21 months old and will be 2 years when my dd is born.  Ds is a
very, very, very, very active, busy boy.  He doesn't sit and play with
toys at home, he tries to get into every single cupboard, room, closet,
etc and destroy everything.  When I take him to the park, he plays ...
Riding in a car while pregnant - Why do doctors in France advise against it?04 May 2005 20:38 GMT4
I'm American, my wife is French and we live in France and are expecting
our first baby in 7 months.  We were planning a 3 week vacation to the
US this summer and planned to do a bit of driving around New England
and then around my parents home in Kentucky (probably fly between the

Acronyms04 May 2005 01:33 GMT1
I've just become a new member of this message group in the last week or
two.  Can someone help me to understand the acronyms that everyone
seems to be using, particularly when referring to their partners' or
children.  It seems to be more than just their initials???
ouch, update and grumble03 May 2005 19:03 GMT5
well I did get it checked out and the doc thought it seemed like gall
bladder pain, so the next step would be to get that area scanned, by the
time I'd waited and seen the doc it was out of office hours, so I was told
that the scan department would call me in the next couple of ...
Travel at 28/29 weeks?03 May 2005 18:32 GMT9
What are your thoughts on cross country (US) travel during the third
trimester?  I would be flying from the midwest to LA and back,
somewhere in my 28th or 29th week.  The trip is not mandatory for me -
although it is business related, and I would be working while there, my
Feeling Disconnected03 May 2005 18:26 GMT20
I feel horrible for having these feelings, but I wonder if anyone else feels
this way. I feel so disconnected with this pregnancy.
I don't know what it is, I didn't really feel this way with the boys. It
just doesn't feel real, and I don't feel like I'm bonding with this baby, no
cord clamping?03 May 2005 14:13 GMT50
question on another group about cord clamping -
whats your wisdom on this? How long should the cord remain unclamped?
rats -- what to do?03 May 2005 13:56 GMT25
About a month ago, we got an ant infestation.  I HATE ants but we put out
traps and now they're gone.  They were replaced by a mouse.  I don't mind
mice, but they can't share a space with my baby, so we trapped him and
he's gone.  He's been replaced by a rat.  I am so not OK with ...
33.5 Week Update03 May 2005 09:08 GMT5
Nothing new to report.  Still measuring ahead (now at 38 weeks), but BP is
perfect (unlike last time where at this point I was having PIH), baby's
heartbeat is perfect (145), and doc seems to think baby would weigh about 5
lbs if born now...using my calculations, if he grows at .5 ...
