| ...is this it? | 27 May 2005 02:22 GMT | 10 |
I think I'm in labour... these contractions I've been having are getting worse, and are about 3 minutes apart. I have been going to the loo lots and my back hurts. I've called my midwife to forewarn her that I may call her later in the

I'm taking Micah to Hawaii today, to meet my grandma, aunties, uncles and cousins; my parents and brother will be there, too. :) Cross your fingers that he doesn't have a blowout on the plane (just started him on solids last week, and the poos have been nothing short of ...

| It's a...... | 26 May 2005 17:25 GMT | 7 |
I had my 20 week checkup & ultrasound yesterday. Things are looking really good, and I'm very pleased to report that the baby is healthy, and my cervix is long!! I'm a little leary to say this, but this has been my easiest pregnancy so far. So, with a healthy baby in mind, I want ...

| Proud of my sister | 26 May 2005 17:19 GMT | 12 |
Despite the odds (unsupportive husband, baby fed bottles for three days while under bili-lights), my sister is still breastfeeding her daughter. I'm just so proud she's standing up for herself on this one. :)

| Boy names... | 26 May 2005 17:06 GMT | 17 |
Well, here I am at 33 weeks and still no name for a boy. I asked for suggestions here a few months ago, but nothing I really love jumped out at me. So, I'll throw it out again in hopes someone who didn't reply last time can suggest that gem I'm looking for. Here's the

| Symptoms | 26 May 2005 15:04 GMT | 2 |
Okay, I know this is silly, but please patronize my TTC-induced paranoia. I'm right in the middle of the tww, and started feeling congested/sneezy and generally tired today. Any chance that cold-like symptoms could be pregnancy symptoms? FWIW, I don't have allergies.

| The afterbirth story | 26 May 2005 06:00 GMT | 21 |
At my 20 week ultrasound the radiologist noted then something was a little funky with my placenta. Her exact words were “I’ve never seen one this wide spread before, it’s everywhere” It was anterior, also wrapped around the right wall, then extended from the fundus to fairly low ...

| Whinge and question | 26 May 2005 01:13 GMT | 8 |
It is a bleak early winter day here at 18C (64F). One of those non-weather days, where it's just grey instead of actually raining. I've done most of the things I need to do, am eating lunch, and waiting for a baby to come out. I'm bored. Changing my due date hasn't helped much! ...

| Get off my back!!! | 25 May 2005 22:06 GMT | 19 |
...I wish I could, but I can't! I've awakened the last few days laying on my back, despite my own best efforts at staying on my side (pillows, towels, etc. - I just throw them off the bed in my sleep, much to the dog's dismay).

| My current progress | 25 May 2005 18:09 GMT | 1 |
As you may know, I'm working on my second surrogate pregnancy, for an older couple in IL. We have finally found a local clinic that will assist us, with their own storage tank. Now we'll do up all the contract work, which will

| no blanket?? | 25 May 2005 18:04 GMT | 12 |
Micah's been sleeping in his crib for the last 3 weeks, and since he now thrashes around too much for his swaddler, we've been using a quilt. It's crib-sized but pretty heavy (flannel). Yesterday I read that you're not supposed to use quilts *at all* with babies under 10 months, ...
