Update on sister's induction17 May 2005 18:19 GMT11
It's been a busy couple of days otherwise I would have posted sooner.  My
sister went in for her induction at 39w2d on Monday.  Fortunately, her body
was already busy working into going into labor on its own because she was
dilated to four and 90% effaced, I believe.  She was hooked ...
Is cramping normal17 May 2005 16:41 GMT3
I'm at 35 weeks and sunday night I started getting slight cramps like I'm
getting my period, after drinking a 25oz bottle of water like there was no
tomorrow and laying on my left side they went away.  I got them again today
and tonight.  I have not called my doctor yet but I do go ...

BF &  . question17 May 2005 13:18 GMT15
There is documentation on multiple websites about it but I thought I would
ask the question and see what someone from this group had to say.  If
someone is breastfeeding, can get they still get pregnant?   I thought the
answer was "very unlikely".  Also, they probably would not have ...
Henci Goer's A Thinking Woman's Guide to Childbirth16 May 2005 20:12 GMT15
Many of you recommended this book, so I read it. I hope I don't offend
anyone in saying I was really disappointed.
See, I have already decided on homebirth/midwife (thanks in large part
to many years of lurking here, then doing my own research). So I guess
Contractions16 May 2005 10:09 GMT1
I've been having some pretty major contractions this weekend.  They are not
regular, but enough to force me to stop what I am doing and breathe through
them.  Nursing is NOT helping (or maybe is helping depending on how you look
at it, lol!), obviously, but I cannot get the little ...
So we are going camping!16 May 2005 04:55 GMT7
We leave today, around supper time!
I did almost all the shopping, and think I may have over done it, since we
are only going for the weekend... My DH, I think, is thinking I am going to
be tenting with him, yet there's no chance of that... First time for me, but
Pregnant and Scared16 May 2005 03:33 GMT11
I'm about 4 weeks pregnant, and although my husband and I were trying to
get pregnant, I'm really scared now that I actually am. I'm already
nauseous and tired and I think..."how can I do this?" I have delt with
anxiety in the past, and have been able to shut it out of my life, but

Argh!15 May 2005 20:26 GMT13
For the last few weeks, I've been getting occasional lower backaches.  While
baby is definitely head down, I only just became suspicious last night about
which way it's facing.
A feel above my pubic bone last night and I could feel something small and
looking for 15 May 2005 20:19 GMT5
We are trying to organise a "names day" celebration for our new arrival and
would like to get a hand and footprint cast, of clay that we could do
ourselves at home.
Does anyone know of a kit that we can buy on line or in a high street shop
I can't believe I can hurt this much15 May 2005 20:08 GMT10
Didn't sleep that well last night, felt groggy this morning, but eventually
dragged myself out of bed and had a bath. Very gently pottered around,
toddler was being very well behaved so didn't need to pick him up at all,
but over the next hour or so I started to ache sooooo much, ...
Baby names - recommendation engine?15 May 2005 16:11 GMT4
Does such a thing as a recommendation engine for baby names exist? I'm
trawling for baby name websites, and not finding such a thing (although
I now know that the technique I'm looking for is called a
"recommendation engine" ;-).
Neosporin?15 May 2005 14:21 GMT6
Is Neosporin ok during pregnancy?  I'm guessing yes, since it's not
like I'm going to eat a spoonful of it, but I thought I'd check to be
sure...
Thanks,
false labor?15 May 2005 13:40 GMT6
First I want to say that I've had what I'm pretty sure are Braxton Hicks
contractions for a couple months now. My belly gets hard and it feels like
it's sort of tensed up. It doesn't hurt though.
The other night I was laying in bed and I got this pain all over my abdomen.
