Joy, I'm thinking about you and wondering how your appointment with the perinatologist went. Post when you feel up to it. Leslie

| Name of article of clothing | 20 Jun 2005 00:39 GMT | 5 |
I'm trying to find out what the name of the special article of clothing is. It's a shirt for infants without buttons and with only a string to tie it. It is usually used for babies who don't wear diapers or who are swaddled. I've been trying to find it here in the States, but

On June 6th at 9:10 am, after 7 hours of wonderful unmedicated labor at a birth center, I welcomed Charles Alexander into the world weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 20 7/8 long. He is beautiful and I am so happy.

Thought I'd tell you all my birth story for Alexander. We got at the hospital a 1/2 hour early I had reflux and acid coming up badly from my nerves from all the needles and such, plus I was very very excited. I had to do the routine fill this out now and fill this stack out later. ...

| Pain question? | 18 Jun 2005 18:39 GMT | 38 |
My wife is 38 weeks and isn't at all fazed by the pain of birth that awaits(1st child). Just for my curiousity I would like to know what would be the words that would best describe the pain of birth.A friend said it wasn't a normal type pain just a real pressure type pain not like a ...

| Yippee! | 17 Jun 2005 21:06 GMT | 19 |
I am 2 wks 2 days post-partum, and today I'm out of maternity clothes and into my "post-partum" jeans (half a size up on what became normal after DS1)! It is so nice to have clothes with *pockets* again. Presumably pregnant women aren't supposed to need car keys or hankies...

| 28w update | 17 Jun 2005 20:04 GMT | 11 |
Things are going better than I ever expected! Both babies measure 29w (!) weeks in size and weight, but the OB mentioned they will probably dip below the curve towards the end, when space gets limited. At least it is very reassuring that they are doing so well now. It also feels ...

| Baby's heartrate? | 17 Jun 2005 16:22 GMT | 5 |
Well, my last appointment I had was on Tuesday. Before that, it was 2 weeks earlier. 2 weeks ago, baby was 151bpm. Last Tuesday, the heartrate was 130. I asked my OB if I should be concerned, or if she was at all concerned, since this seemed like a huge drop to me. I don't ...

| RANT - OB office not helpful | 17 Jun 2005 14:39 GMT | 4 |
I've heard other women talk about this but I really just need to get it off my chest. I honestly feel that they do not care about me or my baby. I know that I ask a lot of questions but I have also NEVER had a baby so I have a lot of questions! I miscarried my first pregnancy and

I am in week 20 of my pregnance and just had an ultrasound. The doctor said the the baby was small, 4th percentile? This is after the dr doing the ultrasound said that i was 70th percentile. The problem was that doctor said we measured out at 18.6 weeks and my doctor said we

| after the birth - SPD | 17 Jun 2005 08:48 GMT | 4 |
whilst it seems to be my SI joints that are worst I guess the same postnatal advice is going to apply as for SPD, but I haven't a clue what that is? Any ideas? Should I be resting, or should I be pushing myself? My activity levels are much lower than after my first birth, though ...
