I was told before Emily was born that you cn't use paint etc in the house until the baby is of a certain age. Just wondered if anyone knows if this is true, and if so, how long is it before I can give the bathroom the paint it desparatly needs!!!

| Post-Partum Checkup | 31 Jul 2005 04:25 GMT | 8 |
My 6-week checkup had to be postponed twice. My Dr came down with the flu one week, and the next week, her car broke down! So there I am, having my 6-wk checkup at 8 weeks. It's great making your Dr's eyes pop out when you tell them your baby's weight

| Castor Oil?? | 30 Jul 2005 08:39 GMT | 30 |
Of course I'm still waiting and waiting... Due date was the 25th, so I'm by no means really overdue. Just extreme discomfort and pain that has been around for a couple weeks now with my pelvis/crotch.

| Perinatologist appt finally, post m/c update | 30 Jul 2005 07:28 GMT | 4 |
Background - following my m/c & D&E, my OB recommended seeing a specialist once she saw the products of conception lab results, which freaked me out a bit. Thanks to all for calming me. We finally went in today, and tho odd, nothing is really of concern.

A friend of mine had extreme problems with her back and hips during her pregnancy, and her doctor gave her a support corset/girdle thingy to wear, which she also did for a while afterwards. Apart from the benefits to her back etc, she said she thinks that as it held her tummy in ...

As I've posted elsewhere, I'm hosting a bridal shower for my oldest friend on Saturday. The other bride's maids and I have been planning on the basis of info from her that she doesn't like cheesy activities, which means,

| Odd question --will be asking doc but want feedback | 29 Jul 2005 19:17 GMT | 6 |
Shiny has a discoloration on her back. I would assume it was a bruise by appearance, but it has been there since she was 2 months old (she's over 4 months now) and hasn't changed at all in the past month at least (I don't remember if it ever looked significantly different, but it ...

| Caesarian Birth Plan? | 29 Jul 2005 17:20 GMT | 8 |
OK, so I'm having a planned caesarian, but there must be things I need to emphasise. All I can think of right now is 'please clean the baby up before handing to us, we don't like slime, and hubby is pretty squeamish' and I'd like to do skin to skin and try breastfeeding in ...
