Baby Overdue31 Jul 2005 17:46 GMT14
My wife and myself are expecting our first baby! The baby is now 5 days
overdue, however.....I think with the summer heat and everything she's
getting a bit stressed. Is there anything you can recommend to relieve the
stress, and maybe to help induce the baby ??
Decorating31 Jul 2005 17:12 GMT1
I was told before Emily was born that you cn't use paint etc in the house
until the baby is of a certain age. Just wondered if anyone knows if this is
true, and if so, how long is it before I can give the bathroom the paint it
desparatly needs!!!
Is it implantation bleeding?31 Jul 2005 14:56 GMT10
DH and I are TTC. I miscarried back in December and am on my third
cycle of clomid since then. The last two cycles have failed and I am
waiting to see about this cycle. My cycles are very irregular and
clomid also makes my cycles longer...about 34-36 days. On Friday (Day
I'm an aunt again!31 Jul 2005 05:21 GMT4
I think this is number 24 grandkid for my parents. My sister gave birth
yesterday by scheduled c-section to a very active and healthy baby
girl, 7lbs 13oz. Mom and baby doing well, and dad is too :) She's had a
rough time of it getting to this point, tho this pregnancy was pretty
Ultra Sound results....31 Jul 2005 05:16 GMT6
Went for the ultra sound today... everything is fine and looks good. I think my due date is going to be moved to Oct. 27th now instead of Nov. 4th. They measured the bones and everything else and it seems I'm a farther along by about a week. And its a ............................ ...
Post-Partum Checkup31 Jul 2005 04:25 GMT8
My 6-week checkup had to be postponed twice.  My Dr came down with the flu one
week, and the next week, her car broke down!  So there I am, having my 6-wk
checkup at 8 weeks.
It's great making your Dr's eyes pop out when you tell them your baby's weight
Can you help with decorating project?30 Jul 2005 19:27 GMT1
I'm a parent who like you, devotes a lot of time to making my kids
happy.
Over the years this has meant decorating their rooms (again and again)
to create a personal space that has reflected their needs and excited
washing powder and detergent30 Jul 2005 16:24 GMT10
I found out today through a magazine that it is best to wash babys clothing
in non bio washing powder and to wash new cloths before using them on baby
but it did not say anything about fabric condtioner so whats the story on
that?
Castor Oil??30 Jul 2005 08:39 GMT30
Of course I'm still waiting and waiting...
Due date was the 25th, so I'm by no means really overdue.  Just extreme
discomfort and pain that has been around for a couple weeks now with my
pelvis/crotch.
Perinatologist appt finally, post m/c update30 Jul 2005 07:28 GMT4
Background - following my m/c & D&E, my OB recommended seeing a
specialist once she saw the  products of conception lab results, which
freaked me out a bit. Thanks to all for calming me.
We finally went in today, and tho odd, nothing is really of concern.
corset after pregnancy to pull tummy in?30 Jul 2005 03:13 GMT8
A friend of mine had extreme problems with her back and hips during her
pregnancy, and her doctor gave her a support corset/girdle thingy to wear,
which she also did for a while afterwards.  Apart from the benefits to her
back etc, she said she thinks that as it held her tummy in ...
Way OT: Bridal shower ideas30 Jul 2005 01:51 GMT8
As I've posted elsewhere, I'm hosting a bridal shower
for my oldest friend on Saturday.  The other bride's maids
and I have been planning on the basis of info from her
that she doesn't like cheesy activities, which means,

Odd question --will be asking doc  but want feedback29 Jul 2005 19:17 GMT6
Shiny has a discoloration on her back. I would assume it was a bruise by
appearance, but it has been there since she was 2 months old (she's over 4
months now) and hasn't changed at all in the past month at least (I don't
remember if it ever looked significantly different, but it ...
Caesarian Birth Plan?29 Jul 2005 17:20 GMT8
OK, so I'm having a planned caesarian, but there must be things I need to
emphasise. All I can think of right now is 'please clean the baby up before
handing to us, we don't like slime, and hubby is pretty squeamish' and I'd
like to do skin to skin and try breastfeeding in ...
