July 2005 Where's Everyone At (Pregnancy Version)06 Jul 2005 20:21 GMT11
How far along are you, and how does that make you feel?
Are you feeling and or seeing movement? Does that freak you out or are
you the type that pokes the belly to get a reaction?
Are you swelling? Are your feet changing sizes? Do you rings still
Really enjoying this right now...06 Jul 2005 13:03 GMT5
Breastfeeding is going "fine"... no problems, she's gaining, she wakes up
when she's hungry, opens her mouth to eat, I don't "have" to pump, either
for comfort or for gain. She is actually seeming much more "normal baby" to
me about food now.

Long Cycle, Early Positive OPK, Late Period.  Could I be pregnant?05 Jul 2005 21:37 GMT13
My husband and I have been trying to conceive now since October 2004.
After doing many months of charting, I have learned that my cycle is
roughly 35 days long.  We started using OPKs about 5 months ago and I
usually get a positive test between days 12-15.  This seems kind of
use of electronic trackers on newborn babies ('Guardian')05 Jul 2005 18:02 GMT42
Before I begin, could someone estimate how common it is for
electronic tags to be put onto the wrists of newborn babies in the UK
nowadays?
This began to be done in 1994. I have no idea whether nowadays it's
Bottles:  Glass vs Plastic05 Jul 2005 09:04 GMT26
I'm a first time mom-to-be, and I'm not sure which bottles are better,
glass or plastic.  Plastic are more convenient, don't break, and come
with features such as "natural shape" or air vents, such as Dr. Brown.

breastfeeding & summer heat04 Jul 2005 14:27 GMT3
Today's temperature is 27+ and Emily seems to be feeding less today than normal and sleeping more.
Is this normal for this kind of weather or should I be concerned?

Breastfeeding and contraception04 Jul 2005 14:24 GMT17
Any advice on contraception whilst breastfeeding?
I was considering the pill but I stopped using it before as I am terrible at remembering to take it.

having a baby04 Jul 2005 11:49 GMT9
having a baby is like buying a pair of shoes no big deal.
Why would 2nd babies engage later?04 Jul 2005 10:45 GMT6
I've just been reading a pg book and came across
the statement (again) that 2nd and later babies
often don't engage until labor, while 1st babies
might engage 4+ weeks ahead.  I find this puzzling...

Swollen ankle?04 Jul 2005 00:03 GMT4
I know swollen ankles can be common during pregnancy, (I don't get them
much) but since yesterday I have just 1 very swollen ankle and 1 normal! I
always have them both swollen if at all.
Is this normal?
staph question03 Jul 2005 21:10 GMT2
The GBS thread got me thinking...Last year DH got a couple boils.  Then it
was my turn (ugh).  At my insistence (!), his Dr. tested DH for staph and he
came back a staph carrier (nasal swab).  We both went on antibiotics and
both tested negative afterward.  No boils since, but my ...
Group B Strep03 Jul 2005 14:56 GMT10
Anyone here decline or not have a GBS test?  I have care provided by a
midwife so the option is mine.  Women getting care from an OB here do
not have a choice.
The statistics seem to support my thoughts that this test is
